On your Vengeance trilogy, did you have them price match the $50 it is online, or was it already that in store? Mine is marked $60 in store, and I figured my luck asking them to price match the website would be too much like blatantly calling attention to the fact that it's well above the $35 limit on the coupon. Just curious if that's what you had to do or not. I think I'd spring for it if I could get it for $35, but $42 is still a bit above what I'd want to spend on an upgrade.

Mine was marked $50. Did you have them scan it for you? It will probably come up the same, no matter the sticker on the front.

Oh, and I went back and picked up "The Man Who Fell To Earth" on blu-ray for $26. I'm still kicking myself for not getting it for $14 at BN a while back, but I hated the fact that it wasn't in a normal Criterion blu (clear) keepcase.

Just bought 3 more titles at 30% off, including the V Steelbook. I have now targeted a specific cashier, and make sure I time it so that I always get her. She just punches in the coupon code, no questions asked, and rings each title up in a separate transaction. I'll try hitting her up for more on Friday, but that will be the end of my heyday since I am usually nowhere near this location. I've been in training on the other side of town, so it has worked to my advantage thus far, since my local store denied me on 2 out of 3 attempts...

Decided to pull the trigger on The Secret of Kells, of all things. Priced at $24.99, ended up being ~$18.50 out the door. Came with the limited graphic novel inside.

Almost did the same for the two-disc Apocalypse Now set, but I figured Lionsgate will eventually cut that one down.

You know that Criterion has a case replacement plan where you can buy Blu keepcases for any release the previously did not have them ... including OOP titles ... and it has the proper inserts, etc.

There is cost of the case and shipping, but the more you get, the cheaper it is.

I used the coupon for 3 discs, including one that was on sale (Superman/Shazam). Gave the cashier a printout, didn't even think about the phone portion and neither did she.

I presented her with the blu-rays and told her about the coupon, said it was good on 3 titles but that I wasn't sure if it worked on sale items. She said, "Let's try it out and see."

She entered it once and it did apply to the sale item, but left the other 2 at full price, so I said, "Try entering it 3 times." She did. It worked. She bagged them up and I was out the door, no problems at all.

has anyone tried a price match and gotten the coupon to work as well??? I'm not asking everyone if a cashier will allow it but rather will the computer deduct the coupon from the price match????

Oh, by the way, folks: The Red Riding Trilogy is priced at $24.99. That means it'll be somewhere in the neighborhood of $18-19 after coupon for just about everyone. Similar price as DeepDiscount's recent autumn sale, but it's still a great deal for a stellar set of films.

I actually got the coupon to work on Scott Pilgrim, amazingly. I was expecting a battle, but it was $18.89 plus tax.

I also had them PM Green Zone in the same order to Target's $14.99, but that price was not discounted 30% more. I didn't ask any questions. I was satisfied enough.

that's because the coupon code has to be entered in every time for each title in your order. the first one scanned is discounted and then you have to re-enter the coupon code for each additional title which is why Green Zone wasn't discounted

Seems like they are always like that with flagship titles, I remember having a hell of a time trying to get a Price match on Star Wars when it came out and finally just had to give up and go to walmart.

For best results go for the youngest employees.

Picked up A Bug's Life, Monster's Inc. and Mater's Tales today. Had a $50 gift card, so it was $15 out the door.

No dice on using the 30% coupon on Big Daddy, Mr. Deeds, and From Paris With Love (all sale titles). So instead I grabbed the Shaw Bros. in HD Blu-ray 3-pack and The Original Christmas Classics sets...6 Blu-ray movies for $44.18 out the door. I'm pretty happy with that.

Just pulled the trigger a few days earlier on Grindhouse from Amazon. would have saved $2.50 if I'd waited. Oh well.

Picked up Seven for $23 w/ tax (and which I'm sure will be seen for $15-$20 on sale somewhere before the year is up) along with the latest season of Doctor Who for $49 (w/ tax). Not a barn burning deal on Who, but still about $5 cheaper (after tax) than Amazon for me.

With the prospect of no real (good) DD sale this fall, I'm jumping on any opportunity of at least 40% off MSRP.
