If the "V" Blu-ray SteelBook is actually G2-sized, I'm interested.

Thats why you should have bought them last spring when you could have gotten 1&2 togeather for pretty much 5 to 12 dollars total after the coupons and buying them both on the same reciept offers.

V steelbook is tempting, but I hate paying MORE for exclusives. It should be the same price... Well, at least it isn't like Iron Man 2 at Target. That cost WAY too much considering what you could get the regular edition for...

Actually, the SteelBooks are cheaper than the regular versions, according to BestBuy.com at least.

Would like to grab The Pacific, but the past two years Best Buy has had half-off sales on all HBO discs. Is it reasonable to expect that sale this year as well? What is MSRP of The Pacific Blu?

$99.98

If you want to wait for a 50% off BB sale, you might as well just order it from Amazon now ($56.99), which you'll end up paying at Best Buy anyway after you factor in tax and gas costs.

Hasn't Best Buy always deducted 50% from their normal selling price, rather than the list price, though?

Yes they have. Band of Brothers is stickered $74.99 and I imagine The Pacific would be too, making it $37.50 during their 50% off sale.

Is there a typo in the ad? It says 1-disc Blu Ray next to Toy Story 3 when in fact they are showing the art for the 2-disc version of the set. I'm pretty certain there isn't a 1-disc only version of the movie. Just wanted to confirm.

I wonder if the special episode of Boardwalk Empire you can get with the HBO sets is packaged together or one of the standalone slimline types you can just purchase for $1? They had the Bored to Death episodes like this but the Pacific sampler was packaged with Band of Brothers.

Re: Bestbuy Media Prices (October 31 - November 6, 2010)

Ha well whether its a penny or $1 I would be happy to get it versus having to buy the whole Pacific set or any overpriced HBO set to get it.

Also.. trying to do some math here I've pre ordered

Toy Story 3 Blu at $24.99
Mater Tales Blu at $19.99
Best Buy $5 Off $5.00
Toy Story Pre-order $7.50
Disney Coupon $8.00
-----------
$24.48 + Tax

so if I bought Mater Tales for $19.99 and used the $5 instant off and the $8 disney coupon I could technically grab both for $24.48 + tax?

Edit: The online price does show Mater Tales being $19.99 before the $5 off. I'm not sure what the price is In-Store but if its the same and you have pre-ordered Toy Story 3 you should be able to get both for roughly $24.48+tax.

Your math is wrong....Mater Tales is actually $24.99 at BB...the $5 discount you have listed below in red is what makes it priced "$19.99", go look at the ad again....you're deducting the discount twice in your calculation, either Mater Tales needs to be $24.99 above in green (and leave the red $5 off discount), OR keep Mater Tales at $19.99 above in green and take away the $5 off discount below in red....

Re: Bestbuy Media Prices (October 31 - November 6, 2010)

Even better, TS3 stack more than 1 promos.

Buy Toy Story 3 Combo Pack, Toy Story 3 Ironpack Case, Toy Story 3 Plush Pack Set, and Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales Combo Pack and save $17.50 for just $52.97.

If you can wait by Friday to buy them in-store with 30% off BB coupon & $8 manufacturer coupon to sweeten this deal. Total price should bring down to $29.08 but YMMV.

Re: Bestbuy Media Prices (October 31 - November 6, 2010)

Ah see that's why I shouldn't do math this late. I still don't think that $29.48 is all that bad for two new release blu-rays.

INCREDiPiNOY what 30% off discount are you talking about?

Stop with the 30% coupon BS. It says right on it that it's only for REGULAR PRICED items. It's so YMMV it's not even worth mentioning or getting everyone worked up for.
