Apparently these orders are taking so long because they must travel around the world collecting the blood of 13 spotted owls to make 2 tiny blu-ray discs. It's getting a wee-bit ridiculous Originally Posted by DirkUSA

After a month and a half I got my order from DD's BOGO! That's right, the ones I canceled half a month ago!

I also recently cancelled a few items from an order and both items came regardess. The word cancel must mean something different to DD than it does to me.

Same here I cancelled one of my orders last week. And they shipped out 1 of 4 blu-rays (Zombieland) from my order. I still have another order of 4 blu-rays that has been sitting in limbo for ages.Originally Posted by Bill Needle

I was wondering why the code didn't work for me today.I just relealized this thread started over a month ago..lol

I tried canceling an order and they told me I couldn't. Then I received three cancellation e-mails for that order a few days later. Then I received a pending charge for the items, and they were shipped. WTF?
At least the items I had ordered were still never priced lower anywhere else, as far as I know. Still... that is some major BS.

I almost don't mind since my order was for Life of Brian, Labyrinth and Dark Crystal. And after Target, I'd almost prefer stores being out of stock and make me lose interest by taking too long on backorder, only to later push the bargain down my throat almost two months later.

I would suggest not cancelling any more old orders. I have a feeling that the old orders are shipping after cancellation due to them switching between warehouses. So the old warehouse probably receives the cancellation after the new warehouse is already taking over the order.

Maybe. But that doesn't explain why they kept my order live after acknowledging my cancellation via email. The web's status never changed from processing.Originally Posted by Kevin M. Dean

I wish I could cancel every standing order I still have with them.
I regret moving some pre-orders to DD over Amazon now just to save a few bucks. It's not that I need them ASAP so much as I just don't like how far DD has sunk in regards to customer service and packing/shipping. And up until a month ago, I was defending these guys as vigorously as anyone.
Not anymore unfortunately. Whoever bought them got a poor deal, because much of the goodwill DD might have had as a brand has been squandered.

I ordered a Christmas present on Friday, it arrived on Monday(!) and I got a shipping notice on Tuesday. Weird.

I think I figured out how to make DD ship everything you ordered:
Step 1: Cancel all of your DD orders online.
Step 2: Go out and buy everything from the DD orders you just cancelled from any local store.
-At this point magic karma will flow to DD and cause them to ship those titles you just bought-
Step 3: Wait for your DD items to arrive (hopefully in under 30 days).
Step 4: Return the items you bought from the local store to the local store (unopened of course).
It's like priming a pump. You've got to cancel your orders and buy the stuff somewhere else before DD will ship those titles to you.
Yes, I'm totally joking, but so far that seems to be how it's working FOR ME at least with DD this last week. They're shipping mostly stuff that I just recently picked up on BF and tried to cancel online (their system wouldn't let me) so that I now have to return the stuff I bought locally on BF. And I never was able to get through on the phone to a rep... I gave up waiting each time.

I received my final 6 BD's in the mail yesterday after the myriad of emails to the CS department. 5 of the 6 were my free ones

My Life of Brian just shipped yesterday. That was my last outstanding item from them... I'm finally done! Well, it may have taken forever, but at least we got all of our B1G3F orders... It still was a smoking deal....
