Past experience has been that the website isn't live until the weekend the ad is released to the public, so I doubt more info will be available until this weekend.

The ad says the first 2 hours of business, so that could be 12AM-2AM if you're store is open for a midnight sale; If not, the first 2 hours would be 10AM-12PM, assuming your store opens at 10AM.

Although, when Alice in Wonderland came out with a doorbuster, weren't there some midnight stores honoring the same price the following morning too? YMMV if so, but it may be worth a call, just in case.

yeah....definitely rockin' the doorbuster on this one, that metal case is pretty and all but you can not beat that price

I would suspect that this is meant to tie in with Roger Waters' current tour of "The Wall." Waters was the guy in Pink Floyd who came up with the concept and wrote most of the songs. He's getting a lot of attention paid on the tour - and is even on the cover of Rolling Stone at the moment.

I have to wonder why they bothered getting an exclusive for that movie though, seems like a weird choice.
Well according to reports Legenary will come out on DVD exclusively at Wal-Mart on 9/28 while the Blu-Ray comes on Blu-Ray exclusively at Best Buy. And its not that weird if you think that Best Buy seems to be getting all kinds of WWE exclusives(the Blu-Rays that have come out there, and the exclusive Bret Hart SvR2011 download).

yet I've not seen it go very cheap for a while (I think I saw $20 about a months ago). Remember when the release of a sequel meant that the previous movie would go on sale cheap? Do businesses not realize there is a recession still going on or are movies only for the rich now?

With this doorbuster pricing, can you do in-store pickup between those hours and still get that pricing?

Any word on the TV prices? I'm supposed to find a 32" HDTV for about $250 for a raffle for work by October 1st and I'm going insane trying to locate one...

Good luck. I don't think prices have fallen that much. I'm guessing $300 is the best you'll find until Black Friday.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Apparently everyone I work for seems to think a 32" TV is attainable at that price. I always ask where and get a list of places to look... which has resulted in my current obsession with slickdeals and insomnia.

*sigh* Just needed to vent...

Nah. I'll just buy a smaller TV and they will have to live with it. But I appreciate the sentiment...

The blu-ray is coming out at Best Buy next week as an exclusive.

The DVD is coming out at Wal*Mart next week as an exclusive.

That's why the DVD at Best Buy doesn't come out til 12/28, but the Blu comes out on 9/28.

It's the first time I've seen an exclusive like that, but that's how they decided to handle it.

Why even bother to do in-store pickup? Just show up and buy a copy.

He asked if you can do in-store pickup between those hours, which I assumed meant he would show up during the hours of the doorbuster sale to pick up the movie.

I'm pretty sure he meant can he do a store pickup at the doorbuster price if he were to do a store pickup online during those hours, and then pick it up later. So get it at the doorbuster price without actually being there at opening.

I highly doubt that. Will the doorbuster price even be effective online?
