Thanks for the heads up!

Re: Can anywhere beat $195 for Lost: Complete Collection?

I am really disappointed that there is not a store willing to drop the price, I hate having to wait but it looks like black Friday or an amazon deal of the day for me.

Hell, it was the ONLY reason I bought that movie! I took out the coupons and turned right around and traded both copies into Moviestop for a cool $15.40 in store credit each....so my out of pocket cost was $12 after tax for both, and in return I got $30.80 in store credit and two $10 off coupons (which I plan to use for both Lost Season 6 next week and then Desperate Housewives Season 6 next month)...

Gohastings has dropped their price to $198, which brings the complete set on BR to just over $160 with the WIN0810 promo code.

I think the people who wait for Lost will see a better price, maybe great, sometime this year, but I don't think it will happen for the Alien Quad. That's my prediction and I'm sticking to it.

I highly doubt that too, but do step forward if you do exist

While a person can say "Best Buy" or "Target" will have something like this with confidence, you need to say "CERTAIN Ultimate Electronics" will have them. I live within walking distance to one and they have 0 DVDs and 0 Blu-Rays. They keep claiming they will someday, but I've gotten tired of asking over the last year with no change, so I'm just assuming my store will never carry any DVDs or Blu-Rays. So I see all these nice Ultimate Electronics deals posted that I can't get even though I live near one.

And I also sneakily bought the Best Buy exclusive of s5 and returned to them the regular s5 I got from Amazon with the same UPC. So, if you don't include what I originally paid for SD sets I'm almost breaking even atm.
Only the bonus disc of the complete set interests me, but not enough to rebuy s1-5. What is all that paper junk with it anyway? A game?

How many bonus discs has there been anyway? I got s1, 2 and 5 from Best Buy, missed out on s4 from Walmart (and can't find it anywhere) and don't think s3 came with any anywhere?!? I also got one of the TV Guide discs. I believe they issued one after s1 and one after s2?!? I'm also missing the slipcover from s4, but I've resigned to not ever finding that.
Walmart had the bonus disc for Season 3 not Season 4. There is no bonus disc for Season 4 anywhere.

Anyone else expecting a gold box deal at amazon Tuesday? When season 5 was released they had the awesome 108.99 price. Guess we'll see pretty soon.

Maybe on some sort of bundle, but I doubt it would be on the complete collection.

Yep. Seems they aren't going that route this time. It's okay with me though as I got in on the five season bundle. I'm picking up the BB version with the book from preordering.

FWIW people in the DVD Talk thread are reporting that the Best Buy bonus disc is the bonus disc from the complete collection. Don't know if the Best Buy bonus disc is a DVD or BD.

Pretty sure it's all DVD's no matter what set you get.

So did they change the price. When I went to gohastings, their current price of the Blu-ray set is $224.47 and after applying the discount (almost $45), it's giving me an estimated sales tax of nearly $16 + 2.16 shipping making the estimated total of 197.37 which isn't really a savings from the Amazon one.

Anyone care to school me or tell me a place to pick it up cheaper? Thanks.

Re: Can anywhere beat $195 for Lost: Complete Collection?

talk about gohastings figuring it out and jacking up the price so its less of a discount. Taking 20% still comes to $180 plus shipping. Not great as before. If you get tax, no savings whatsoever.

How long does it take to get stuff from gohastings? I ordered the set on sunday and it shipped this morning. I used standard shipping.

When I've ordered single discs from them, it takes like 2-3 days at most. I'm not sure if it will be any different with a big boxed set, but I hope not.

Good deal. Might be better on Black Friday, but I can flip my unopened seasons 3 and 4 and come out looking good overall. I couldn't get it to work, but it would be around $134 with that 20% off new account coupon X3K4T7B.

Re: Can anywhere beat $195 for Lost: Complete Collection?

Also look out for special codes that are being sent out to select email subscribers for 10%, 15%, 30% or up to 50% off one eligible item. I just got one and knocks my price down to $118.xx before taxes woohoo! Now I really was gonna wait until Black Friday, but so tempted now!

Also remember to use e***** cashback for another 6% off
