I just placed an order for 5 books, a dvd (Wes Craven Collection) and a blu-ray (Sons of Anarchy S.2) for just over $40.

If anyone's interested, I checked the inventory and there's still 31 copies of the Sons of Anarchy S.2 blu-ray available for $18.84. Does anyone know if that's meant to come with a slipcover? I'd just like to know what to expect.

Despite my issues with them, Hastings did refunded my damaged items fairly quickly. So, I thought I'd order one more $3 DVD that was out of stock last week. It was just before midnight and the free shipping code was still working. I saved a screen grab of the order review page showing the $3.xx total.

Well, when I got to the order receipt screen, my total was now listed as $6.xx. Yes, they charged me for full shipping. If the code was rejected at the final checkout stage, fine. But to have them suddenly add the shipping costs AFTER I clicked the 'Place Order' button is not acceptable. I shot them an e-mail asking them to adjust the total or refund the difference.

A free shipping code with none of the usual restrictions - wow, would have been nice to know about it. Considering their steep S&H fees, I think a code like that is worthy of a new thread, IMO. I think you'd find that a ton of folks missed out on it since it was buried here.

Agreed. Also if this is supposed to be the one and only goHastings.com deals thread, it should be renamed as such. There are many deals in here that aren't the old expired 20% off that this started as.
