Hatchet is at $9.99 now. That seems to be a price point every Anchor Bay/Starz release hits really damn quickly.

Should i buy Hatchet or Evil Dead?

Well, not based on the film itself since i've watched both, but based on the bonus features, picture quality, and all other specs.

The Evil Dead doesn't come with the Limited Edition Bonus Disc anymore, so keep that in mind. You would be extremely lucky to find that edition.

As for the films though, I understand you want it to be based on the other factors... but as The Evil Dead is one of my favorite horror films I can't help but suggest you strongly consider picking it up on Blu-ray.

LIES!

You can STILL get that same BD w/ that disc from Amazon. It's all merely by luck though. I got mine Thursday (I think) and it comes w/ that disc.

BTW

Halloween- $9.99

Wish I would have snatched that up, I ended up picking it up for 30 today just because I wanted it by Halloween.

If you can find the Special Edition of ED, that for sure.

Hatchet isn't short on special features either.

If you have either movie already, get the opposing film.

If you have both on DVD, try to get the special edition of ED.

You mean the Book of the Dead edition or there's a ED special edition on blu ray?

Pretty sure he means the limited edition blu-ray, which has 2 discs, but the 2nd disc is a DVD, not a BD. It is getting harder to find the 2-disc edition.

You can do it thru email too, I just canceled mine. Jumped on Crouching Tiger for 11.50.

My copy of Evil Dead was just delivered today and I got the Limited Edition with the bonus disc. A few others reported getting this version in the past week from Amazon.

Tried to get Jacob's Ladder on Amazon now that it's $10.49 when I've had it on backorder with DD for several weeks now @ $9.58, but DD won't allow me to cancel it on their website even though it still shows as backordered. Fuckers.

I called them and they cancelled my backordered items. Very painless.

Just a note, this is not the 3 disc edition. Amazon had the 3 disc set awhile back for a great price.

My Evil Dead also contained the Bonus Disc.

It appears everyone here has received it so far.

Is there anyone who didn't?

Just got mine in today and mine contained the bonus disc as well. I am astonished as my luck with that kind of stuff is poor. So as promised, I now love ThePhantomGoat.

My copy of Evil Dead showed up today, and mine also included the bonus DVD.

So what is the deal with this exactly? Is there actually just a single BD version with almost no features on it now?
