Ultimate Electronics ad (81-87)

Thanx to shady08 at blu-ray.com
Kick-Ass 17.95
Diary of a Wimpy Kid 21.95
A Prophet 21.95
The Ghost Writer 21.95
Heroes Season 4 44.95
After Life 18.95
Road to Perdition 16.95
Escape from New York 13.95

2 for $16 (Disney):
Gangs of New York
Ladder 49
Wild Hogs
The Game Plan
Remember the Titans
Guardian
Invincible

2 for $18 (Disney):
Kill Bill 1
Kill Bill 2
Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
No Country for Old Men
Apocalypto
Pearl Harbor
Con Air

The Ultimate Electronics just opened in York, PA last week (and yes, they have blus), so I can finally take advantage of their sales

Has anyone used an internet coupon at UE, and if so, was there any hassle? I have a Disney upgrade coupon to use for Narnia and wanted to make sure they won't have issues with it before I print it.

Re: Ultimate Electronics ad (81-87)

My Ultimate Electronics store (practically next door to me) still doesn't carry Blu-Rays and says "they plan to" but can't tell me when. The UE ads I get don't even list Blu-Rays on sale (so no PM'ing would be possible), so they must be tailored to the area.

The Ultimate Electronics here just re-opened after being closed 7 weeks for remodeling, the ad in today's paper shows Kick-Ass $21.95 here, although all of the other prices were the same.

Just got back from UE.
All the flyers in the BR dept. had Kick-Ass on BR at 21.95.

I went up to the counter dude and asked if online pricing is different that in-store.
He said, well, we don't sell anything online, so that online price applies to the in-store.
He looked it up and said it was $21.95 on Tuesday.
I told him that the website says otherwise.
He did a search for the weekly ad and lo and behold it said $17.95.

Long story short...
I didn't want to get beat for that good price, so I asked if I could pay for it then and there and he said sure...

So, I got Kick-Ass for $19.34, after tax.

Best price for that movie at this point.

Checked on the website the local ad shows $21.95, though all the locations in Colorado show the $17.95 price.

Re: Ultimate Electronics ad (81-87)

I tried to use a manufacturer's coupon earlier this year (I forget when), and was told by UE staff that they do not accept manufacturer's coupons or internet coupons. YMMV by store, but I was denied the use of any coupons.

ditto. I just take the UE add to walmart or BB and price match there and use the coupons

Re: Ultimate Electronics ad (81-87)

They just opened a location here, but they don't have a weekly ad online. I checked in the store and no ads either. I really wanted to price match Kick-Ass at BB, since I have a gift card there. Oh well.

Might have to pick up both Kill Bill films. I was hoping to eventually get them for about $20.

I would imagine whatever the regular price is, unless the system is set up to scan it at $8 even if you buy just 1.

you'd get it for $8. they always price their "2 for (insert price here) for half price instead of forcing you to get 2.

I got GonY for $8 on Sunday from them

Re: Ultimate Electronics ad (81-87)

I picked up Kill Bill Vol. 1, Kill Bill Vol. 2 and Kick-Ass for $37.xx.

I haven't been to Ultimate Electronics since I bought my TV, receiver, and speakers a few years ago. Man has that place changed, it's almost like a Best Buy now. The place looks totally different, I didn't even recognize it.

Re: Ultimate Electronics ad (81-87)

Okay, so I pricematched "Kick-Ass" at best Buy last night with the Ultimate ad to 17.95. Best Buy also had an offer that said "Buy "Kiss -Ass" on Blu-Ray and receive a $5 CinemaNow card"

Well, first, they said they'd run out of cards, then when a young girl came by with the ones she'd found, she mentioned, "Oh, you can't get the card if you price-match...it'd be like a double-dip"

I let it go, but on the way home, I just kept thinking to myself..."That's BS! The ad said "Buy Kick-Ass"...It didn't say at what price!"

Has anyone else run into a situation like this? Should I have pressed the point with a manager?

Creepy, huh? But, I guess it's part of plan. The salespeople still roam the aisles like sharks since they work on commission, but I like my experiences there...

Re: Ultimate Electronics ad (81-87)

I received an email from UE corporate offices after I inquired about the price difference between ads on Kick Ass. They said they had re-checked the competition pricing and had adjusted all stores to $17.95, sure enough I went in today and they were priced that on the shelf.
