EDIT (7/25/10): It appears to be the DIRECTOR'S CUT BD that was on sale for $12.99 (and is, as of today $9.99). Best Buy seems to have a SKU in the computer for the DC, erroneously matched to a picture of the digibook. As stated in my post below, I CANNOT confirm that all stores have the digibook for that price...sorry. It may be available on a store-by-store basis.

But those of you that want the DC for cheap may be happy!

Pretty cool that they dropped the price even further. They seem to have just started a two-day sale...I checked out the other BDs online, and while some of the "sale" prices are not great by any means, they have some titles for the same price as amazon...which means if you have a BB near you, you can get instant gratification.

I stopped by BB and what's on end cap is the unrated Director's Cut in a regular BR case on sale for $9.99.

Also included in the $9.99 end cap (that I can remember) are Letters from Iwo Jima, Million Dollar Baby, Mystic River, and True Romance.

Yup...that's what I found also while browsing the store today. Saw no digibooks. Asked an employee about this; he said the price for the DC was correct and that the discs in the two versions were "the same" (obviously not correct). They seem to have only one SKU in the computer and the picture of the digibook comes up when you look at the sale items, but I CANNOT confirm that they actually have the digibook for that price...sorry.

But those of you that want the DC may be happy...has it ever been cheaper for the BD?

I didn't see any copies of the DC this morning, but there was a copy of the theatrical digibook: it rung up as $9.99.

The Brothers Bloom is also on there for $6.99 (backordered online), but availiable for in store pickup.
