Are Atonement and In Bruges worth a blind buy at $26 total? I enjoyed Pride & Prejudice, but what little I've read about In Bruges reminds me of Snatch, which I'm a big fan of. Speaking of, when is Snatch gonna hit $10?

Both are fantastic, IMO. Atonement was one of my favorites the year it came out and In Bruges is a witty, entertaining movie.

Is the UK BD region free that one had cool features I believe.

Ordered Atonement and Pride and Prejudice. I've been waiting for Atonement to drop in price and I already have the Pride and Prejudice HD DVD, but only paid a few bucks for it so I don't mind getting the Blu-ray.

Atonement is one of the best films ever made. I absolutely loved it. In Bruges, I thought was good, but the ending was anticlimatic.

My thoughts as well....I'd like to order The Breakfast Club, but nothing else appeals to me (at these prices) to pair it with for this discount deal....maybe Flash Gordon if it was at least five bucks cheaper....

Atonement strikes me as an English Patient type of film. Very well done, etc... but probably not something for me to watch on my own... (without a girlfriend, wife, etc) Am I right?

Depends if you are narrow-minded or not. I love the movie, I keep it in my collection, not my girls. I'm a huge fan of a good epic-romance (English Patient is not good IMO, insanely overrated). The camera work in Atonement is phenomenal, it has one of the greatest single shots in modern film IMO.

I was never a huge fan of Snatch (I didn't find any of the characters likeable), but I really like In Bruges. It is not nearly as flashy or fast paced...nor does it have much action. But the characters and dialogue are just really good, and Fiennes steals the show imo. If I chose a word to describe it I'd say 'contemplative', which for me made for a more satisfying film.
