Southern California Von's Stores are currently having a 50% off sale on most Blu-Rays (and DVD's). Although the sign says that only Blu-rays regularly $14.99 and $16.99 are on sale, all of the $11.99 Blu's at my Von's were 50% off. Expiration date of the sale is unknown.The following blu-ray titles were available for $5.99:

I saw the same titles at Randall's in Houston with the same 50% off signs. They are on the battery/DVD endcap. It may be in all the Safeway operated stores.

Saw the same 50% off sign at two different Safeway's today. YMMV on available titles though, as one Safeway only stocked dvds with the discount.

Confirmed here in Los Angeles, CA.

Note: Not all Vons stores have blu's. The Vons in my neighborhood does not have blu-rays. They had the display and 50% off signs, but they only had regular dvds. (I live in a semi-industrial/ghetto/high crime area).

Went over to the G/F's place and stopped by the Vons in her neighborhood. They had the blu's in the display, also with the 50% off signs. (She lives in a upscale neighborhood.)

Saw all the titles listed above plus a few more:

Went to the Vons closest to my house. Saw the section of the store where they were having the sale, but no BDs.

We were in Big Bear Lake, Ca. The Von's up there did not have a sign. They had Blu's but no sign.

well I stopped by the Pavillions on Vine street in Hollywood, they had only had one or 2 each of a couple of the bluray titles listed from the other stores, and i picked up pretty much 1 of each of them

I'm surprised there isn't more activity in this thread. It's a good price for these movies. The Big Lots thread is littered with people posted where and when they found certain titles. Very helpful to fellow bargain-hunters.

Pavillion's in Long Beach, no BDs but they did have HD DVDs. Waist Deep and Hollywoodland both for $4.99.
