I can't believe Amazon wanted $269 in the first place. THese movies are readily available for 10 or less at several retailers.

Are License to Kill and Man with Golden Gun the only ones that are on blu but not in the 3 blu box sets?

I have 7 of (two that are not in the set). But I own all the DVDS. It was very hard to stand by my guns and not upgrade to blu-ray. I did, then again if you think about it I still bought 5 of them. Should have bought the set.

Was this the set amazon had during the Lightning deals over black Friday?? If so I think it was the same price or even 10 bucks cheaper.
Anyhow i have no intent on upgrading my dvd's on these.

I was tempted and think I own all but two of the eleven. Would have been good for trades probably, but glad I passed.

Almost. Last BF their 10 pack for $59.99 didn't have License to Kill and The Man with the Golden Gun but it did have Quantum of Solace. Since I have all but a few of these James Bonds (from a Christmas 2008 deal), I passed on last BF's deal and this one as well. I'm not going to rebuy what I already have in a multi-pack because I don't have the time to try to sell it off and in the past when I tried I usually got too little to be worth the trouble. I'll just wait for a reasonable price (well under $10) on the few that I need. My UE DVDs will suffice if I must watch any between now and then.

Some people on another forum were successful in getting another 30 off by calling amazon and saying the amazon tweet for the offer advertised 200 off. So anyone who paid higher price could possibly get refund.

For those that did receive this, how are they packaged? Were they just sent to you separately in a box or where they bundled together?

If the code was actually still $200 off and still active... with the price presently at $224.99.. this would have been quite a deal for 11 movies..

Each Blu was shrinked wrapped individually with the cellophane style wrap (with folded corners). Clearly these were meant to be sold individually. On top of the shrink, a blank white sticker covered up the UPC code. All 11 blu's were then shrinked together and a white sticker with a new UPC code was placed on the bottom of the bundle.
Moonraker came with a slip cover. The rest did not.

Back when they first came out wasn't there a deal/glitch where it was about $5 per blu-ray, and they all came with movie cash, making them cheaper than free net?

So far as I can remember, there was no movie ticket promotion with these deals.
The six titles available at that time were:
For Your Eyes Only [Blu-Ray]
Die Another Day [Blu-Ray]
From Russia With Love [Blu-Ray]
Dr. No [Blu-Ray]
Live And Let Die [Blu-Ray]
Thunderball [Blu-Ray]
Since I only wanted two of those Bond titles I sold the ones I didn't want to defray the cost of the ones I kept. The same deal had a number of other titles for $9.99 or less (at a time when this price was very unusual for Blu-ray Discs—we've been getting spoiled lately by low prices on catalog titles) including Live Free or Die Hard for $6.99. At the time that Amazon sale was the best deal on BDs I had ever seen. For Bond titles, it remains the best I've seen.

Yes. In November 2008 Amazon had a deal that, for a few days, allowed the six current Bond catalog releases to be purchased for $4.99 each. The Deal involved a $100 off 10 BDs promotion and stacked with an earlier deal that offered an additional discount for Bond titles purchased in pairs ($5/pair). After a few days the pair promotion disappeared and the $4.99 price became $7.49 each for the remainder of the $100 off 10 promotion.

^Now that you mention it, I think I gave my ticket codes to some other DVD Talk members since I couldn't use them out here in the boondocks. Still haven't seen QoS yet.
