Staples Going To Sell Some Blu-ray's YMV
I work at a Staples and we got a shipment of DVD's in, but mixed in the box I saw were some Blu-ray's at $10.99.
One's I Saw were Jerry Maguire, Dracula, and Donnie Brasco. I will update titles next time I go in and they are out for sale. Don't know if all Staples will carry them, but the one I am at in Maryland will be.

I bought 2 of those once for $1 each when looking for a filler. One worked fine and I tried it a couple times, and it stayed readable probably 5 days after. The other one was already dead (must have had a pinhole leak in the package) and I couldn't play it. So that was the first and last time I waste time with self destructing rental DVDs. On top of that they weren't the full versions but movie only versions without extras.

Ahhh good old Divx before the name was used for the media format. They were the first iteration of the name Divx on the market. Yep they were made with an ink that would degrade over time once in contact with the air. It was horrible lol.

I thought Divx was a DVD format that was only playable if you had your player hooked up to the Divx center. It would allow you to play the disc for a short "rental" period after your initial purchase. If you wanted to watch it later, the Divx center would then charge you another "rental" fee.

Yeah, I bought their Divx Proscan DVD player and There's Something About Mary DIVX disc (Pan & Scan only LOL) as memorabilia when the concept went under. Once the server went offline the discs were unplayable. That's why I'll take my standalone media any day over streaming, which leaves you at the whim of the provider.
