Honestly, I didn't even read the gift card; my wife just handed it to me and I went to another register and used it. It did cross my mind there might be restrictions, but even if so I would have been happy to get the BDs for $18.00. But they made no complaint about it at all.

So I totally missed out on the great deals from TS 1 and 2.

I did check my e-mail and I have a $3 off Disney BR and the $10 off Toy Story coupons.

The movies right now are $29.99 each at Best Buy and Target. So basically I'm shit out of luck on any great deals huh? With the coupons I have right now, it's only $13 off each movie and that's not really enough of an incentive to upgrade my 2-disc DVD's.

It should be. The cash used to buy them is still good so why not the cards?
I seem to recall a lot of cards have a monthly fee go into effect a year after purchase so enventually the the card is sapped of cash. I've gotten restaurant gift cards that have an experation date on them. I think it is the bookkeeping that causes problems for the stores.
