Somebody recently said that they got it to work, but that was after it rang up expired finally at all of my local stores.

The unmentionable is dead, everybody can rip up their copies. It failed to scan a week ago, and after somebody mentioned they were able to make it work, it still failed to scan at four other Targets attempted. It's over people, you can stop hoping it will come back.
