I did not see this anywhere posted. I know that there are some problems with the release - promised Director Commentary where there is none. Some have complained too about the video...

OTOH - there are a lot of fans that think that this is a great release - also currently at $10.99 at Amazon (Link) which makes for a pretty good bargain IMHO.

I think the issue is that some of the original animation was replaced with CGI effects. This is why the original Japan Blu-ray sells for ridiculous prices on secondary market.

I think it's more related to the fact that the Manga presentation of the original (not to mention that it's an "extra feature") is shit. I have both the Japanese and American BR releases - I'll post back this week once I can get some time to compare the original title on the two.

the original version included in the "extras" section is pure crap. i think the remastered SD release upconverted looks better than the bonus one included on this BR. and the new footage totally feels out of place to me, i cringed at the new CG footage and miss the original greenish animated scenes.
