It really is a good picture. I just watched it yesterday. Zooey Deschanel is in a class by herself. (and her sis too)

I'll grab Weeds eventually, but not for $26.

Never heard of Smokin' Aces 2. Was that direct to DVD/BD?

I think so. None of the original cast returned. I think the biggest name in the flick is Tom Berenger. I wouldn't even consider buying that sequel...

If you haven't seen it, you might want to rent it first. I don't think it was a good enough movie to buy. And I buy practically everything! At least read some reviews first...

Its a direct to video prequel executive produced by Joe Carnahan who directed the first film.

Good deal on Star Trek... May use some of my store credit to pick it up. That's been on my list for a while...

It beats Amazon's lowest price of $19.99 (for now at least, until they PM it next week)

Looks like I'll be buying Whiteout and Invention of Lying since Netflix won't have them available to rent for 28 days.

Which means he probably had nothing to do with it and just got the EP credit when they paid him for the rights to do the prequel.

Re: Best Buy Weekly Ad 1/17/10 - 1/23/10

some nice prices there on The invention of Lying and on The smoking aces 2 pack(works out to 15 each on smokin 1 and 2). I will pick those up. and very cool that star trek dropped to 16.99 while bestbuy is still in its extended holiday return schedule. I can buy it for 16.99 and get a refund on the price it was on the first day of release.

Its looking like 19.99 is going to be the new price point for new warner bd releases.
very cool

Hmmm....Price match at Target + $5 expired but not really expired coupon on Inglorious Basterds and Star Trek making them $12 each? Interesting.

I'm trying to decide on the Weeds Season 5. How long do you think it would be before it pops up at $20 or so?

Target will have it for $24.99... But these seem to drop relatively quickly, so I'm going to try to resist buying it during release week.

Good luck with that. I'm betting the people at the customer service counter are smarter than the cashiers and won't let you use the expired coupon. It's too bad they won't pricematch at the registers...

When I got Up and Monster's Inc., I was able to price match in the electronics department.

pretty much now most targets are making people price match at customer service, my target used to let me price match at customer service as well but the last few times i went in they said it has to be done as cs now, per company policy

I've used the coupon on about 30 BDs so far with half being done at cs. I've never had a problem - young/old or male/female. 1 single time at cs they told me it was for Transformers. I just told them it was for illustrational purposes and didn't mention Transformers in the coupon text. 1 other time was at a register right after Xmas when she looked at it for a good 2-3 mins. and then said Transformers only. I told her the same thing as before and even mentioned it was expired, but would scan fine.
So as long as the coupon still works I've got no reason to think that more than 2 out of 30 will even question or look at it, but of course your luck may wary.
