Target $10 Blu-Rays in Back of Store?

Targets in my area have created a new DVD area in the back of the store where the Christmas stuff was (their newly expanded "bulk area".) They have added an area on the back wall with tons of $10 blu-rays, and new two-packs of TV shows for $15. They are on sale/price cut until February 20. Many people have reported being able to use the expired $5 coupon still, getting them for $5 (YMMV of course). There are 32 dvds that make up this $10 sale, and they are organized into "blocks" of 4 titles, by studio... Four studios are participating: There are three blocks of Fox titles, two Warner Brothers, two Lionsgate, and one First Look.

Fox (all marked as $12, rings up as $10)
Me, Myself, and Irene
Napoleon Dynamite
Dude Where's My Car
Batman (1966)

Broken Arrow
Chain Reaction
Point Break
Rising Sun

Behind Enemy Lines
Entrapment
The Omen (1976)
Phone Booth

Warner Brothers (all marked as $12 except where noted, all ring up as $10)
Mongol
The Getaway (1972)
Rest Stop
Rest Stop 2

Pelican Brief
A Time To Kill ($19.99)
Risky Business ($10)
In the Valley of Elah

Lionsgate (all marked as $12 except where noted, all ring up as $10)
Crank
Chaos
Cutthroat Island
Reservoir Dogs

Stargate (old release - don't get it! 15th Anniversary edition is superior!)
Ninth Gate ($10)
Basic Instinct ($14.99)
Total Recall ($14.99)

First Look (all marked as $12, rings up at $10)
Paris, je t'aime
Transiberian
Immortal
The Proposition

UPDATE: Reportedly found for $9.99 (unadvertised) in the main BD aisle:
Dogdgeball
Super Troopers
Edward Scissorhands

TV Series 2-Packs:
JAG S1 & S2
I Love Lucy S1 & S2
Martin S1 & S2 (might be $19.99 for this one)
Everybody Loves Raymond S1 & S2 (might be $19.99 for this one)
Gilligan's Island S1 & S2
several Food network show 2-packs
21 Jump Street S1 & S2
The Waltons S1 & S2
Hunter S1 & S2

Here are my camera phone pics:

Yeah, I know. There is a LOT more than what I listed. My memory sucks. I'll add more later...

I will have to check again to update this list... But I'm curious what your Target had???
Here is what I can remember or see from my phone pics:
JAG S1 & S2
I Love Lucy S1 & S2
Martin S1 & S2
Everybody Loves Raymond S1 & S2
Gilligan's Island S1 & S2
several Food network show 2-packs

There may have been one or two of the 2-packs which said $19.99 on the shelf, but the sale sign made it look like they were all $15 (in that area, not necessarily the titles you mentioned which are located in a different area of the store). Most of the shelf tags actually said $15. After I saw it at one store, I thought it was just a fluke. But after seeing two stores do it, with the exact same set-up, it seems to be intentional.

It's probably worth a look. There were a ton of BD's. Not as much TV 2-packs though. There were also tons of cheapie $5 DVD's that had like 4 movies combined on a flipper disc. I don't think those were anything worth writing about that. Everything came in generic cardboard looking racks. It stands out like a sore thumb. It's kinda ugly looking...

It's a shame these weren't around when the $5 coupon was active. $7 would be a good price for these titles, for sure...

That must be it. I thought it was just excess Christmas inventory.
But the plain looking shelving displays, starburst price tags...

Re: Target $12 Blu-Rays in Back of Store?

I saw these in multiple Targets this weekend as well. It can't hurt to try the coupon still. I used it once each at 4 different Targets on saturday on my way to my uncle's house (about a 50 mile trip with no expressway). Not once did anybody say anything. 2 didn't even look at it and scanned it, while the other 2 noticed the date but scanned it without me even asking. Score!

Re: Target $12 Blu-Rays in Back of Store?

I appreciate the heads up... but I am not sure this is anything new... most (nearly all) were on a temporary discount $9.99 before christmas... they were just mixed in.

Target never carried the majority of those BD's before. For those still able to use the $5 coupon, these are definitely a bargain. As for the TV series, most of these 2-packs are new as well, and definitely a great deal for $15...

I also wanted to post this because no one would expect a 2nd section of DVD's and BD's in that area of the store. You would think everything they carried would be in the same area. If I hadn't been looking for Christmas clearance bargains, I never would have known... Anyway, I'm done with the updates. I just wanted to make sure I got everything off of my phone so people could see what they had...

Does that picture say "Basic Instinct" is $10.00 or $14.99? I can't tell. If it's the former, I'll buy it at Target and try to use the coupon. If it's the latter, Amazon.com it is.

$14.99, but it scans at $12 ($7 after coupon).

Re: Target $12 Blu-Rays in Back of Store?

Target coupon is still working, as well. Picked up "Entrapment" for $5.

To see what is on sale, visit target.com and search for "blu-ray" and then sort by "lowest price first". Prices are not marked at the store, though. "Entrapment" was listed as $12, but rings up for $10.

Target had other blu-rays in the back of the store in Thornton, Colorado. This is where I found "Entrapment" and others.

I scanned a bunch of them today, and they were all $10. I bought The Omen (which wasn't on my list--just added it now). I removed There Will Be Blood since I think I was incorrect.

This is a new display however the Target stores I frequent have had these discs for quite some time in the normal BD/DVD section and most if not all of these discs were $9.99 for a few weeks leading up to Christmas. I picked up 16 of these for $5 during December. The 2 pack DVD seasons have also been in stock and at these prices for a while now. In fact the sets that are normaly $20 frequently go on sale for $15 and the $27 sets usually go on sale for $19.

These are great deals but nothing new for the Target stores I frequent in Texas and Georgia.
