When this gets south of $40, I'll probably bite then.

Ditto. $46.99 is still too much.

I'm holding out that it will show up in my Quick Picks this week to get another $2.35 discount. I'm trying to help it along by adding all of the other Batman Blu-rays into my shopping cart, so now this box is near the top of my recommended list.

Amazon UK has it for £21.98 -- £22.19 after VAT removal and shipping. That comes out to roughly ~$37 shipped to the US, as calculated by XE.com.

Bear in mind that the casing is thicker, as each of the Blu-rays are in individual, UK sized cases:

EDIT to add link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Batman-Pictu...0221642&sr=8-1

OR, there's always the route of importing both Batman and Batman Returns individually; however, at the price mentioned above, it'd be worth it to just get the boxset and possibly unload the other two discs.

Have a $40 credit that I was hoping/planning to use in January, but the way I see it, this is basically like getting the first 2 movies on their respective releases dates and the 2nd film hasn't even been announced. I may never watch the 3rd movie and the 4th is a coaster, but I'm in to finally get Batman and Batman Returns. The second film is my favorite of the series and I just can't wait any longer. I guess having the complete set isn't so bad.

Think of it this way: If you bought it somewhere where tax was charged, you'd probably end up with this price after taxes.

Ditto, sub $40 and I will jump, but anything more for a couple decent movies and 2 garbage movies is too much.

Let's be honest here: Batman Returns is no gem. I think Forever is not that much down the ladder from Returns.

The 4th movie is something I am still amazed that made it out of pre-production.

Totally disagree, I think returns is the best of the series. The portrayal of Penguin, Selena/Catwoman, and Bruce/Batman were all spot on.

+1 And the ONLY reason to buy this set IMHO since I already own the book version of Batman.

I can, at least, get through this one. So, I view the set as 2 1/2 movies.

I've never been able to get through the final film. I'm 40 years old and travel, often at night, as a part of my job and the only time I've ever fallen asleep on a domestic flight was 15 minutes into Batman and Robin.

I"m with you. The main reason I didn't bite on this deal was the last two movies. I'll buy the digibook for the first movie and import Batman Returns.
