Per Amazon's verbage on the top of their Black Friday "Week" sales....

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/re...d%3D1000452571

You shouldn’t have to stand in a long line to get a great deal. We’re searching for the best Black Friday deals everywhere--including deals other stores are planning--so we can meet or beat their prices and bring them to you even earlier. These limited-supply offers will go quickly but we’ll add new ones throughout the day, every day this week, so you can skip the long lines and still save a bundle.

Here's to hoping they hit all the Door Busters, etc from BB, Target, Wal-Mart, etc... and we can skip the hastle of fighting crowds... (except maybe for the Wizard of Oz Target Exclusive...lol)....

Because usually the ones that are going to be a deal on Black Friday may not be on the shelves by then and sometimes put away or because of other people already hiding them as well like me. The only part for me that can be hard is that I forget where I hid them :) This year the only things I hid and we'll see if I score is Oz over at Target. And then Gladiator, Dark Knight and Star Trek 2&4 over at Best Buy. Ironically over at Wal-Mart none of the movies they have for sale on Friday were nowhere to be found at all? MAYBE Best Buy will price match Dark Knight and Gladiator for me since I would also be buying the Star Treks as well.

In regards to this AMazon sale, can I assume though that you have to check-out for every purchase you make at all these seperate times or will they wait until you are done. It's just that I only see buying a couple Blu-rays and obviously at seperate times. I imagine a couple might get listed during those times where they state check back at that time for other titles but who knows?

Man, these guys will never learn as far as ways to deter possible injuries/harm to their employees and customers for great deals. I would have to dig up the article, but it is still a joke of what they plan on doing to deter what happened last year at that store up in New York with the employee dying. I just looked at that story the other week and how can any SANE person not see that it was going to be trouble when they opened the store and not instead call the police ahead of time that they had a possible issue developing.

fortunate that amazon will match "in store" prices... not just online... and I do think it is bizarre that WM is not placing stuff online as well...

 I liked your "plan". Where I live — out in the "Boondocks" — Target and Wal-mart are a 70 mile round trip and Best Buy is a 190 mile round trip. I'll be shopping Amazon along with you.

You know what, I don't get it. I look at the things that are on sale during the correct time period and they are still their normal price, does the sale price happen when you check out?

It shows up as a "Lightning Deal" discount subtracted from the total when you Checkout.

Glad I didn't delay on the Wolverine as well. It's funny how it's basically sold out yet other movies (like Sex and the City) are at 5%.

Poor SatC is only at 12% right now whereas Wolverine is essentially sold out. Just shows how many people are buying Blu this year.

If it were the Sex and the City blu-ray for $10, it would probably be selling less. I think it has more to do with the movie, than the format.

Anyone know of any Blu-Ray internal computer drive deals, perhaps at a Fry's?

EDIT: It seems to be suggested that this drive >> http://www.bestbuy.com/site/LG+-+8x+...rive&cp=1&lp=2 is on sale for $99 at Best Buy on Friday, but I went through the ad several times and didn't see it. Can anyone confirm?

Spoke to a Walmart employee stocking the new releases this morning. I asked if he had a list of all Blu-rays that will be on sale Friday (there's usually some not shown in the ad) but he said as far as he knew it was only the ones pictured in the ad.

I don't want to start a new thread, so this seemed appropriate. I've been waiting for a bargain on the newest release of No Country for Old Men for quite awhile, but don't seem to ever see anything. Am I just missing the sales? The newest release came out in April, 09, and I was hoping to see something this BF, but so far -- nothing.

The prices for the daily "Black Friday" deals are being released a day in advance. So, today we got the prices for tomorrow's deals.

I've added some more low priced BDs to the list in post #110 above.
