Not sure why there is no thread for this already but...

Some Wal-Marts have Transformers 2 on Blu-ray at $13.00 even. I can confirm the following locations:
Oxnard, CA
Simi Valley, CA
Porter Ranch, CA

Anyone else nab it for this price?

It's normally $20 at Wal-Mart so I doubt its even worth it after shipping etc. for a $7 difference.

I got it at $13 as well yesterday morning at 7. Shelves were empty but an employee found a copy sitting at the electronics desk. The odd part is whenever these Walmart YMMV deals happen, my Walmart is ALWAYS near or at the highest price reported.

Panorama City/Van Nuys, CA location was the standard $19.96 price. Wish I had time to hit the Porter Ranch store before work yesterday but xtra gas cost for my suv probably would have cancelled the benefit lol. Wonder what's causing the price diff.

My Wal-mart removed all the slipcovers from the Blu-rays to fit them in the security cases. They have them sitting in a box. Price was $19.96

$19.96 in Hagerstown MD. Didn't take the coupon (wouldn't scan). Oh well, I bought it anyway. I truly believe that in the next 60 days it will be cheaper than this price, and I can just rebuy and return. If not, who cares, I guess I need to see what this IMAX thing is all about.

I was at the Porter Ranch Wal-Mart yesterday (Wednesday) at just after 9am and it rang up as $15.99. They must have changed the price later in the day.

Is your Blu-Ray sealed? I noticed when I got mine home and took off the slip cover, there was no sticker along the top and no plastic. This is my first Blu disc.

Also, if it wasn't sealed what are the contents inside? I want to make sure I have everything.

Stupid me, I was in a rush and didn't look. :( I just made sure I had a good slipcover.

The contents are:

2 discs
2 inserts - 1 Chevy promo and another that has info about some 3D experience on the movie website.

nope because if so then all ca stores would have had it at the lower price not just a select few :(
in anycase i really expect this to be a black friday sale title in a few weeks so i will just rebuy it and exchange it on the old reciept the next day or a few days latter

Wal-Mart may have added their own security device thingy inside and then reshrinked it. Though I've had many titles not come with it at all.

I just got back from the Torrance CA store and they were totally out of the Blu-ray there. The tag on the shelf where they would have been said $19 something though.

When I went through my debacle on Tuesday (I ranted in the Wal-mart thread about it), the guy in electronics department told me not to worry, that the Blu-ray would still be $13 for the rest of the week (because they were supposed to be receiving a shipment). I can't say I believe him and I didn't bother going back. I'm so over this deal.

Valley Stream, NY Walmart had it on sale for 14.86. Used the 3.00 Papa John's coupon and walked out with it for 12.23. Amazing price for an exclusive new release.

The Troy, MI store was $19.96, so with the PJ coupon, it was $18 and change OTD. I wasn't about to spend $5 in gas schlepping around to find a cheaper copy, if it even exists in my time zone. It's bad enough I had to go several miles out of my way to get to a PJ's since there are but a handful in the area. Weird.

I paid $19.96 at the Chesterfield store as did my brother at one of the Dearborn area stores. I decided it wasn't worth hitting the other Wal-Marts either, especially since I had not seen 1 single report of it cheaper in our area.

$19.96 in Pittsburgh - it seemed obvious to me the $13 price most were getting was a mis-price intended for the DVD, as that is what it was priced at as a "special discount"

This deal is dead. I went to the same Wal-mart today where the guy promised me that the price would be $13 all week. They finally had some in stock, but they were $19.96. They also had the hard plastic case around the set that was smashing the slipcase. I surmise that word got out about the $13 price tag combined with the Papa John's coupon and they were pulled from the shelves until they could adjust the price in the system, or until all the hoopla blew over.

My Walmart* only had the 2-BD version with special packaging... no mention of IMAX footage.

Oh well, I wasn't that hot on getting it anyways.

I figured that all BR copies sold at Wal-mart were the IMAX version because none of the copies I saw mentioned it either.
