Got 2 today.. Both were in perfect shape including the Digital Copies and bonus discs... Both had the insert with the Digitial Copy Code.. don't know if that code is used, but hey they are complete...

Got eight of my ten today.

All had flawless discs.

The one that should've had a dust cover (He's Just Not that Into You) did.

2 that had digital copies had the discs (He's Just Not That Into You and Last House on the Left) but were missing the code for using the copy, but I never use those and just don't care.

7 of the cases were flawless too.

A Christmas Story came in a DVD case, but is the blu. Switching out the case wasn't that big a deal as I have a lot of spares around. Still, for a second there I thought they screwed up.

All in all, very happy and waiting on The Strangers and Horton Hears a Who to arrive.

I'm expecting quite a few more titles in, but so far, it has been mostly excellent. Biggest issue was the "Used" copy of the "Snow Angels" DVD was a "previously viewed" one instead with the Hastings label around the center part of the disc. For the Blus, did not get several of the slipcovers.

Does Hastings have coupons available regularly, specifically do they ever offer free shipping? I'm wondering because I see a lot of CDs and DVDs in the $3 and under range I'm interested in, but those would be a better deal with free shipping than with the 30% off.

Oddly enough, I was never charged for my first order, yet this 2nd order showed up right away. They are still charging me sales tax on the amount before discount, but I'll stay mumm about it if I get my first order for free. lol

Just got the first 2 BD's (Zodiac 2-Disc Director's Cut and Prince Caspian) of the 6 that I ordered. Does anyone know if there's any kind of insert or booklet in the Zodiac set? Prince Caspian was flawless (even came with the Rewards code insert and the security magnet insert). The Zodiac discs look great. I was just wondering if it was missing anything. If not, I'm 2-2 with awesome results.

I got Zack & Miri Make a Porno Used Blu-Ray yesterday and it was the censored-title cover where they leave off the "Make a Porno" part of the name. Anyone know if this is the only thing different about this release? No change in disc content? The BD case itself was a little dirty, had the clip torn off, but there was an insert inside.

Yeah the scariest of all are Nick and Norah, with its casting Michael Cera as a romantic lead, and The Rocker featuring sweaty Rainn Wilson in just underwear!

Got 5 so far. All of them look great and came with everying except the slip cover was missing from Friday the 13th and the code for the digital copy was missing from one (Hancock I think)

so far ..many received in excellent shape..some with numbers written on them..lots of missing digital discs or without codes (dont really care about digital discs anyway).. some standard defintion dvds were fairly scratched up..nice thing about blu rays is the anti- scratch technology-probally helps a lot on these..

I really wish they would lower the used prices across the board again.
There's a small list of more I'd like to order, but they are either priced too high, or out of stock.

Got 4 more today... All in great shape.. I know for a fact a couple are missing Slipcovers... No Biggie.. 1 was BRAND NEW... The one that had a Digital Copy had the disc and the sheet.. Not obvious if it was used or not.. Still a great sale so far..

I received one of my items today (Midnight Meat Train) and instead of the Blu-ray they sent me the DVD. I called customer service and they said I can return it but they can't replace it. I asked if I place another order now for the item can they refund the exra $1.99 shipping charge and she siad they can't.

Not a good policy...there is no way a customer should be charged extra for a mistake on their part.

Received two more today.

He's Just Not that Into You looked like new. The Reader, on the other hand, came in a beat up case (I'll need to replace it) and the disc was smudged badly and looked like it had grease on the front, but I wiped/cleaned the disc down and now it looks immaculate - love Blu-ray's better coating protection. So The Reader is the first I've ordered to pretty much not be PERFECT - everything else has been for me so far. It's no biggie though as all I need is a spare case.

This has happened to me in the past. I rarely order from gohastings anymore because I will order a special edition (or criterion edition) and receive the standard DVD inside the special case.

I agree. Want to join me in writing a letter to the President and perhaps they will change their mind? I think they lose a sale by doing that as customers may not be so eager to re-order the same item and pay extra for a mistake that was not the customer's fault.

I agree. I had to re-think my whole ordering logic. Now I will only order items that I do not care so much about. But if I really want the slipcover, or the bonus disc etc., I will just wait for a sale at a store and buy it new or at least get to inspect the used copy personally prior to purchase. That's the down side. I guess with such tempting prices, there had to be a downside somewhere? Too good to be true thing

Received some more today.

The Man Who Loved Women was NEW, it had the sealed stickers all around it and the case was perfect.

Body of Lies Blu-ray came in a 2-disc case, but only has one disc... I'm not missing anything right? It doesn't look like I am from taking a look at the back.

I ended up using that case for Confessions of a Shopaholic. That arrived, perfect discs, slightly torn cover art (ugh - but it's not noticeable in the new case) and the case it HAD come in had the sleeve completely torn/ripped apart. Now it looks pretty good though.

American Gangster came in a crappy case with some sticky residue and is heavily worn but I'm out of replacement cases so it'll have to do for now. The disc is perfect.

All in all, still worth ordering these, but this was the first time I wasn't ecstatic with all of the conditions. It was awesome to get a new copy of The Man Who Loved Women though.

Now I should probably order some more Blu-ray replacement cases.

It figures that the newest movie I bought (State of Play, just came out like 2 weeks ago) would be the only one that came totally destoyed (case and cover art; disc was fine).

Oh well, only paid $14 for a movie that's twice that much in stores so I guess I can't really complain.

So far so good for me. Got the first 4 of my blus today (Bolt, Unbreakable, Narnia and Role Models), and they're all perfect--cases, coverart, discs and inserts. Bolt came with the blu, DVD and digital copy as it should have. About 5 more blus to go now.
