It's the same price in store as well. They have a bunch of $6.88 titles on a new end cap. I also picked up Kingpin for that price.

Many stores have a display in the front, near the registers. So you may want to check there as well...

Picked up NIGHTCRAWLER for $9.44 at a Michigan Walmart on the weekend. Noticed a small selection of other recent-ish releases in the same price range, but the majority elude me at the moment. I think LUCY was $9.99 (bit cheaper on Amazon recently). Nothing to scream about, but might be worth checking into for some folks, who might be better able to update here.

If you find American Sniper for that price, please pick it up for me.

Do these come with Disney Movie Reward codes individually?
How about iTunes/digital codes?

My Wal-Mart recently put out their Halloween DVD display. There was one disc that caught my attention. Halloween VI Unrated Producers cut Blu-Ray for $7.88. They had it marked on the sticker as Halloween 4 (looks like someone got IV and VI mixed up) but it scanned the correct price.

If anyone is interested in it and can't find it at WM, it's currently $7.99 online at Best Buy. It was also at that price on Amazon prior to it being released--I just had it delivered a couple of days ago. Now it's $9.99 there.

I can't believe it's priced so well. I bought the limited edition Halloween box for that disc alone. It really is one of the better Halloween sequels.

There has recently been some mention of the Wally's $7.88 Canadian Woodstock blu on another board. I can't say it enough: that is a steal. It's the best AND most complete Region A / Region 1 version of Woodstock ever released.

Maybe it's a bit too early but the selection for horror/Halloween related titles at Walmart is shit this year so far. The only Blu-ray I've seen is the producer's cut of The Curse of Michael Myers. Everything else I've seen is the same old stuff on DVD (double features of some of the Friday the 13th and Nightamer on Elm Street films and a couple other random titles I don't remember).

All the James Bond Blu-rays with exclusive slipcover artwork are $9. Same art as the Best Buy steelbooks, only with a foldout front.

Spoiler for size:

Walmart has cut down their retail space on independent Blu-ray horror in the past year. They usually still carry the DVD versions. The major studios just don't have deep horror catalogs on Blu-ray since they licensed out so many to labels like Scream Factory. Which hurts horror at retail since the majors have much more leverage.

Yeah and it's pretty damn rare to see Scream Factory titles or other boutique company titles available in a retail setting. Unless you get some of the bigger name releases (like Halloween II, Halloween III, Mad Max, etc.) or some newer stuff.

Just a heads up to those interested in picking up some cheap Warner Bros. steelbooks. As reported in other forums, a number of these steelbooks hve popped up in Walmart's $7.88 bin again. I saw Green Lantern, Hangover I and II, Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows, Clash of the Titans, Wrath of the Titans and Sucker Punch.

Tombstone was also added to the $7.88 bin. Cheapest I've ever seen it.

One of the few movies I didn't upgrade to BR because I like the director's cut better. I believe the BR is only the theatrical version. Usually I find the added scenes to be fluff but I really liked them in this movie. Great film either way though.

Re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Yeah, it also has some image issues but I am gonna pick it up if I can find it in the bin without too much effort. I used to grab a cart and scour through the entire bin but I've just lost patience for that activity.

Debating grabbing Hangover I and II steelbooks but I'm not a huge fan of those films and I've got to watch my spending with Black Friday around the corner. I raided the Halloween display ($6.50 Horror titles) yesterday and was in such a mad dash I grabbed two of the same title, "Return of the Living Dead" so off to the Walmart freak show to make a return!
