I don't think they will be. The last time this happened they let them go through. Remember the "Buy one, get one free" deal where the first item you placed in the cart was full price ($5.99 DVD) and the second one (All Creatures Great and Small complete series, MSRP $399.99) was free? They caught the coding error after a couple of days and fixed it, but the early orders went through. Best. deal. ever.

But still it doesn't hurt to keep your fingers crossed.

Seriously, we're getting INCREDIBLE deals, but in this economy, can you see WB turning away millions of dollars worth of business, when they're still at least profiting on these sales? It can't cost them much to manufacture a disc, and lets say that maybe 10,000 orders were placed, at $100 each. I know they're a big company and blah blah blah, but that's still $1,000,000 to cancel.

Just got all the way to the final screen to place a second order, and when it got there, all the coupons had died. I'll have to see if they come back again. Order jumped from $47.xx to $211.xx. Imagine my surprise. lol.

It's PROMOTION. For no "cost" they get TONS of advertising, Blu-ray gets even more exposure, the "idea" of Blu-ray having lower prices is ejected into the public eye, and most importantly they are SATURATING the market with Blu-ray.

The idea that they are losing profit from sales is not quite realistic. MOST of all of these orders would have never been placed if it were not for this sale. It's amazing how much people will spend when they believe they are getting a DEAL.

Just like all the other promos you see out there, they all have a purpose. Have you ever signed up to win a new car? Ever get HBO free for a weekend? How 'bout free samples at the grocery store. ...and finally, how 'bout some cheap Blu-ray movies?
