From the DVD Bargains thread, Lost Season 2 is now $34.99 at Amazon. I just ordered Seasons 1 and 2 for $63.98.

Season 1 $48.99
Season 2 $34.99
LOSTBLUS coupon -$20.00
Total $63.98.

Whoops. I posted at several sites, and goofed on this one. It was Tower.com that has Silence of the Lambs Blu-ray for $12.99, but by the next morning, it was back to $24.99 again... didn't last long.

Amazon is matching Target on the 3 new Bonds... and NSNA.

Is it worth the tax to take the ones I just got back... not really.

Might order NSNA though.

I feel the same way. Was able to get all at Target. Probably will just keep them rather than going through the hassle of a return.

I think as long as you already had your order standing before the price went back up you'd be OK. My longstanding pre-order is now at 34.99 for S2. Great deal - if I can get even $40 for my S1 and S2 DVD's it won't have cost too much to upgrade to Blu.

My preorder went back up to $48.99, time to send a note to Amazon and see what is going on.

Same here... and I even have an email from Amazon stating that I would be charged $34.99 when the order ships (I emailed them about the price change yesterday, and they adjusted my pre-order). That is unacceptable.

Re: One/Only HD/BD Bargains Thread Pt. IV: Back To Bargains

Just heard back from Amazon -- they fixed it for now, but it sucks that you have to be so vigilant to get the correct price:

Thank you for writing to Amazon.com about this situation.

I understand your concern. However, as the price of the "Lost: The Complete Second Season [Blu-ray]" moves to $48.99, our system has automatically changed the item price from $34.99 to $48.99.

Understanding your concern, I've again adjusted the price of this "Lost: The Complete Second Season [Blu-ray]" to $34.99.

Further, please note that it is possible, the price of this item can changes depending upon the item price.

Isn't there a notice on pre-orders that claim 'Amazon guarantees you will pay the lowest price of this item between the date you place your pre-order and the date it ships'?

Yes. They have to honor the lowest price.

I don't trust Amazon anymore. So, if I want to make sure that they don't hose me, I have to keep checking throughout the wait period (for ship date on pre-orders) to see if Amazon dropped the price for a few hours.

Amazon keeps getting shadier and shadier, in the customer service department, lately.

After correcting the price on Lost Season 2 yesterday, I decided to check the order this morning. Amazon once again raised the price by $14! Time to fire off yet another e-mail.

Re: One/Only HD/BD Bargains Thread Pt. IV: Back To Bargains

Here's my experience from this morning(also posted in the Lost thread in bargains):

I had them call me and I spent about 15 minutes going back and forth with the guy on the phone. What he told me was that the price the day of shipping is what they go by. So the day you order vs. the day it ships. So it doesn't matter how much it fluctuates in between.

Essentially it would have been better to just reorder both at the sale price and cancel the original order. I even asked him if that is what I should have done and he said yes. :wtf:

So a no go for me. I haven't heard back on my second email yet.

Fuckin bullshit.

Wow! I have never any trouble like this with Amazon. I didn't take advantage of this deal, but it sounds like it might have been a price mistake and they are trying to weasel out of it. Not cool, Amazon! And what they told you doesn't even make any sense when you look at the store's Pre-Order Price Guarantee!

<a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001993Y1S">2010: The Year We Make Contact (Blu-ray)</a> & <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001O7JHV6">Point Of No Return (Blu-ray)</a> are available at Amazon for $13.99 each on pre-order. ETA shipping is around 4/13, but will probably be sooner I think (ETA release is 4/7) so you'll more than likely get these in your hands by 4/13.

Also, here is main page of a rather small list of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=amb_link_84017991_3?ie=UTF8&docId=1000358011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-6&pf_rd_r=1SB5W2WEF6GEC5K09MK5&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=472944091&pf_rd_i=193640011">pre-orders</a>.

American History X is also available for $14.99. Pretty good prices. I seriously doubt you'll see these cheaper until there is another Buy xx Get $xx Off sale or a B2G1 sale.
