The Omen set looks like too good of a deal to pass up. You'd pay the same amount just for the first film at Amazon right now!

Exactly why I ordered it and dumped my US set months ago. A nice hardcase for the 3 films and not the horrific remake.

Price just jumped to 39.98

Forget that - comes to about $70.00 CDN.

For all those that ordered it I hope it's just a price jump (due to demand) and not a price correction.

Frick, I knew I shoulda checked this thread earlier... Nice score on the Omen set... I noticed that Spiderman 3 dropped to £6.98. Perhaps other BD's dropped to 6.98 as well...

The UK Zodiac Blu-ray only sports a Dolby Digital 5.1 track -- no TrueHD, right?

Correct. No lossless audio (as TrueHD). Only a Dolby Digital track. Plus, the transfer is not as good as the U.S. release. I know that is hard to believe but that's what I've heard on other forums (and I have seen comparison pics). Just pick up the domestic release when it goes on sale.

According to a review on HDD the UK BD DD5.1 track sounds identical to the DD+ on the HD DVD (which I in turn found sounded just like the TrueHD one from the American BD). No biggie for me as I only want the nifty slip cover - I'll sell the UK BD by itself as soon as it arrives.

You can get the US release at Barnes & Noble online for $16.68 + tax with free shipping. Use the bn.com/military link to enter the site and get 6% off and free shipping, then apply a 20% coupon that can be found in the Bargains forum. I think the sale is only supposed to last another couple of days.

Heads up for BJs Warehouse members. They have Benjamin Button on sale for $22.99. I got it for a super low $17.99 since I had the $5 off coupon from their quarterly magazine.

Decided to bite on that deal. It was good enough for me :)

Then again I'm kind of biased because it's one of my favorite shows on TV.

Taken will be $24.99 at Best Buy. Also, they have Superman Returns on sale for $16.99. The TrueHD versions have made their way to stores as well.

But of notice is the That's Entertainment Complete HD DVD Collection is only 9.99 now - so even with 4.95 shipping it's only 14.94

Lowest on amazon is 37.49

That's a great deal for The Omen Collection. I might have to bite on that.

Any confirmation is this set has the same cruddy packaging as the R1 release?

Also to anyone who went in on Amazon's Dexter Blu-Ray deal (like myself), it looks like S1 is now back-ordered. Annoyed I have to wait, as I'm excited to see this show in HD.

Thanks for posting, did the same and also used their $5 off any Blu-Ray coupon (expiring tomorrow!), bringing it down to $12.99. What a steal. :p

They also have Last Chance Harvey (priced at $24.99) with a $5 instant rebate through 05/17. It's also elligible for that $5 coupon from the quarterly Journal, so $14.99 after rebate and coupon.

This is strange. When you search for "Omen" the results page shows it at 12.77 but when you click on it to take you to the disk page it then comes up 39.98.
