Re: One/Only HD/BD Bargains Thread Pt. IV: Back To Bargains

I know Amazon usually matches Best Buy and Wal-Mart on blu-rays, but does anyone know about Target? I don't want to drive a hour if I don't need to.

all my local target had was NSNA - which was fine, because that is what i was looking for . all the other spaces (which had been completely stocked earlier in the week) were empty.

If Amazon is going to price match, they haven't done it yet.

If you have to drive one hour, considering gas prices--even as low as they are at the moment--you'd probably be better buying this online. There's no way in fucking hell I'd drive an hour to save a few bucks.

An alternative would be to ride your bicycle.

I thought someone said that Amazon usually adjusts prices on Monday or something.

Anyway, I got Never Say Never Again. Plenty of all the Bond movies this afternoon at the Target I went to in Irvine.

Re: One/Only HD/BD Bargains Thread Pt. IV: Back To Bargains

Btw, Amazon has their Buy 10, save $100 offer. I couldn't resist. Bought 10 Blu-rays with an average of $9.54 each. Many titles are probably in some of your guys' collections already, but for me, it worked out pretty well. Especially the Pirates Of The Caribbean collection. They offer all three titles, and I've been holding out to see if this trilogy would get to around $30. Well, it never has, but this way, it did.

Edited to reflect my dyslexic number issue.

Awesome. With the $5 coupon that's tucked inside Quantum of Solace, I was able to pick up Goldfinger for less than ten bucks before tax.

Darn, more $ down the drain.

BTW, some of us got the Pirates trilogy on blu for less than $10 each awhile back when TRU had a sale/coupon combo going on.

Picked up NSNA at Target. It was shoved off to the side, away from the other Bond movies, and at first I was worried they didn't have it.

Also, inetvideo has some movies on sale for $7.77, including Sex and the City and Be Kind Rewind. I ordered Be Kind Rewind, and clicked around for a while, and found the Austin Powers box set for $24.99. I got both for $40 shipped, or $10 per disc.

Re: One/Only HD/BD Bargains Thread Pt. IV: Back To Bargains

The new Fox price cuts have gone into effect at Target. Many of the older titles dropped to a list price of $24.99.

$17.99
-Predator
-Master and Commander
-Kingdom of Heaven
-I, Robot
-Patton

Some of the above still have a list price of $29.99 per Amazon, but they are still permanently marked down to the $17.99 price. There may be 1 or 2 other titles, but those are all I can remember.

As of last night, SIlence of the Lambs Blu-Ray is $12.99. I ordered it with another $12.99 title. No tax for me + free shipping! (over $25, I think?)

Fry's B & M had Heroes Season 1 HD DVD for $9.99. Couldn't resist the price, even for a show I've never seen before.

Whoops. I posted at several sites, and goofed on this one. It was Tower.com that has Silence of the Lambs Blu-ray for $12.99, but by the next morning, it was back to $24.99 again... didn't last long.

Re: One/Only HD/BD Bargains Thread Pt. IV: Back To Bargains

Amazon is matching Target on the 3 new Bonds... and NSNA.

Is it worth the tax to take the ones I just got back... not really.

Might order NSNA though.

I feel the same way. Was able to get all at Target. Probably will just keep them rather than going through the hassle of a return.
