I loved the "sack monkey" storyline in the beginning.
"Put it all in one bag, but don't make it heavy."
Since I worked at a supermarket my junior and senior years in high school (starting as a bagger), that part of the show hit close to home, and I have had so many customers just like that. Hit the nail right on the head with that one.
And who could not love "Pepsi presents New Zanzibar"?

that was a very funny episode. Because everyone remembers going shopping with dad. Making b.s excuses to get stuff in the cart.

"Look, she's even got diamonds on the soles of her shoes!"
"He seized power in a bloodless coup, all smothering."
Man what a great episode. It's gotta be in the top 10 already!

I must be the only one, but I thought the "Africa" episode was one of the WORST episodes this year so far - really forced humor, bordering on jingoistic "Africa" stereotypes - a definite low point in the series for me!

A few chuckles but that's it. But that's the thing about The Simpsons. Even when it's a really bad episode, it's still better than 98.7% of the other stuff on tv.
