Cheers to Amazon UK.
My R2 copy of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels: Director's Cut shipped on Monday (1/29) via Air Mail, and was received today (Thursday 2/1).
I have to say this is much better turn around time than I've been getting from my pre-orders from US Amazon - A Better Tomorrow 2 took about two weeks arrive.
I thought the cost of shipping from UK was reasonable. With the exchange rate it was about the same Amazon US would have charged to ship a single DVD.

I'll second that. Both my orders from Amazon UK were shipped the following day after my order, and I received them 7 calendar days from shipping. Shipping rate is reasonable too.
Kudos to Amazon UK !
Amazon US - yucks, if I can get my DVDs within 3 weeks, I consider myself lucky.

So it takes three or four days to go from the UK to the US, but 10 days to 3 weeks to come from the US to the UK.
Could this be that the UK customs dept. are more thorough/slow/inefficient than the US one?
Or is it just that AmUS are busier (but then again they are larger).
Either way, it's annoying!
