I am still interested in seeing where this goes, but that shit simply didn't make much sense. So the Vice President of the United States and his wife are just some low level grunts of this secret "organization" such that they must commit Hara-kiri when their identities were exposed? Please...

It's playing out like a season of 24... the first half of the season is one story, then - in a single episode - they shift from what we thought was the most important plot point to something either far more sinister or stupid.
In the end, the only thing I'm really sad about with this episode is that they found the kid floating in the river.
Still, I'm excited seeing where this goes.

I mentioned to my wife yesterday at the end of all the craziness, just wait, it actually could be the wife that is running the show internally. They had more than one scene in that last episode that hinted towards that, and the actress was also sure to make sure to react differently than a concerned wife would in those situations. But it could just be the Ronin fan in me reading to much into it.

First "oh shit" moment I've had during a TV show in a while. Really enjoying it.

This is going to be hell on the Kirkman Administration... the only way they can quietly sell this now is as a murder-suicide.
They can't even begin to really tell the truth about it, can they?

Seems an easy sell, since it was in fact a murder-suicide. Of course they can't publicly say why she did it, but that's not difficult unless somebody leaks the surveillance footage. Heck, we still don't know what actually happened on that squad's mission or who the behind the scenes players are.

Fortunately there were numerous witnesses or people within proximity. Should be an easy sell as a murder suicide

Where the fuck were the two secret service agents while all this was going on? Did I miss them being taken out?

They were asked to hang back once they had checked Hannah with their wands (for bugs and weapons?)

Really surprised they killed off McLeish so soon. He was an entertaining and slimy adversary to Tom.
The wife killing him and killing herself was a WTF moment.
Too bad for Jason and his son. Hopefully now he finally opens up to Hannah.

More like hung back in the opposite direction. It also didn't seem like the wife had to run at all. Just snuck up behind Hannah and popped the VP with a headshot. If I was to try and defend this as the showunner I would say they had no reason to think anybody else knew they were there. Hence there being only two agents that were asked to hang back so they wouldn't hear the conversation.

Did I miss something? I didn't think they wanded Hannah or stood back so they couldn't hear the conversation with Hannah. I thought they wanded the black guy who had been in the VP's unit. Then Hannah who was in the woods watching, while a command truck was recording the events thru a parabolic mic gave the word to move in. Then after Hannah confronted McLeish the wife came up behind her from the same woods.

Nope, you're right. Wanded the guy from his unit. I knew somebody was wanded since they always make the sound effect loud as hell so you can't miss it.

Great episode. Lots of progress.
Not much action with this show overall, but it's a whole lot better than 24 Legacy at writing and plot.
