Pretty good interview with Alison Wright (Martha): http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2016/...-confirmation/

Judging by Gabriel's reaction to Martha knowing they're KGB, I don't see her living much longer.

When Gabriel was referred to as "a good cook," I immediately thought he was going to poison Martha's food.

I was disappointed to see that this part of story still isn't resolved.

Yeah, me too, and I hope they don't drag it out. It obviously can't end well for Martha.

I liked John Boy's [sorry--can't recall his name on the show] response when Stan told him. "OK..." Well done.

When they showed the center discussing getting her to Moscow I was like, hmm maybe she makes it out unscathed after all. But after that last scene with Gabriel. I don't see a scenario that doesn't end with her chopped into little pieces at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean.

I don't think her knowing they are KGB is that big of an issue. But her willingness to expose that fact on the other hand is.

Then, of course, there's the matter that its been revealed to Gabriel and Elizabeth that Phillip has made several critical errors in his handling of Martha. Also, Elizabeth may feel that Phillip showing his "true face" to Martha was a violation on some level of the rules of their marriage, where they have outside "engagements", but only in other identities.

I got the feeling it hurt Elizabeth's feelings, right when Philip and her are in a good spot in their marriage.

I was hoping Martha's arc would end this episode as well, but it looks like it will be dragged out for several episodes.

I just think of him as Agent Skinner.

After the sudden (yet long-delayed) demise of Nina, it would be a nice twist if Stan & crew brought her in from the cold & sent Gabriel on the run to the Center. And intensified the hunt for Phillip & Elizabeth.

Although if that happened, surely the Center would extract their agents to keep them from being captured.

Poor Henry...no more keeping the dream alive (for either Epcot or his math teacher).

It would be nice to see Martha survive somehow. I don't think she'll be happy in Moscow.

Wouldn't be surprised if she didn't eat her gun when she discovers that, wherever she goes, it will be a life without Clark...er, Phillip.

This good article/interview with Martha actually seems to touch on several of your points:

Alison Weight really shined in this episode.

Elizabeth's reaction to Phillip not being in Clark's disguise is such a contrast between the two. She is always up to the task, and he continues to let his feelings effect his work.

Man that was a tough episode to watch. Feel so bad for Martha. Don't think they will kill her off so soon after killing off Nina. It would be interesting seeing her stuck by herself as a stranger in Moscow in the 80s. I'd imagine she'd kill herself pretty quickly in that situation.

I loved when she told "Clark" she wishes she could go back to the way they were before. I do too, Martha!

Elizabeth is a robot. Philip behaves like a normal human who possesses emotions.

Sometimes she's a sex robot, though.

It's good to see Joshua Brand writing again. He wrote for The White Shadow, St. Elsewhere, Northern Exposure and now The Americans.

Good. Him being more than a guest star should be interesting.
