I'll probably starting binging on Saturday. Will most likely be able to finish by the end of Sunday.

I'm having the same problem I always have with new Netflix seasons, deciding to either binge-watch the season by the end of the weekend or spacing it out with an episode a day or so.
As usual, I'll probably cave and watch them all right in a row.

Ah okay. I'm trying to stay as isolated as possible when it comes to possible spoilers, so I'm still not going to read that list.

I'm going to watch one a week...I like stretching them out, but it also means avoiding this thread and most other parts of the Net, as you know goofballs are going to binge it and ruin the storyline.
BTW, is this the final season, or is it a wait and see?

The British one managed to tell the book story in 12 episodes, which was 3 seasons. Dude was way more of a dick than Frank too, from the first season I saw. But this is totally different, so it'll probably go on for a while.

They have already covered two of the three books of the adapted source materials thus far. The final book can be covered in 1 season, or stretched out to a few. Guess we shall find out. But my guess is there will be a 4th season.

I finally watched the British series during the past 2 months and you're right, I wasn't expecting their character to be even more brutal than Frank and that's saying something.

I tried watching the first season of this but got kind of tired of it after a while so stopped watching. I might try and re-visit it though as I hear good things about it.

Well, you're missing out on a great show. That said, I'm into EP5 of S3 now. I will admit that I was really worried during the first two episodes. They were just "o.k.". Definitely the weakest of the entire series. Thankfully EP3 got back on track. And has stayed there so far.

Re: House of Cards (Netflix) - Season 3 Discussion Thread - Available 2/27/15
I'm 3 episodes in, and so far, so boring. Seriously, I was having a tough time watching and keeping my interest. What the fuck happened to this show? That's a rhetorical question, as the problem is that they made Frank president, and now he can't pull the same sort of fun shenanigans as he did that made the show so much fun. Now it's West Wing: The Boring Years. This better start picking up.
I mean, the show was always kinda dumb, but at least it was fun. But this season so far, while it's not as dumb, it's also no longer any fun.

I'm on episode 10. It's been a crazy ride so far! They've given several characters their spot to shine. Also, Robin Wright is still sexy as fuck.

Pfft, I'm watching all the episodes in different screens at the same time. Sure, it's not making much sense watching it "out of time", but fuck it if I'm going to let other people beat me to finishing this season as fast as possible!

EP1 Kind of slow but I liked it.
EP2 liked this episode. I like the power plays made.

Re: House of Cards (Netflix) - Season 3 Discussion Thread - Available 2/27/15
Just finished it. The overall quality of the show goes a long way towards making it interesting so a big segment of the show's audience is gonna be satisfied (I ultimately was) but the season is almost completely devoid of the buzzy drama that makes the show appeal to people who would never watch a show about politics. And the two moments that are arguably comparable to the murders in the first two seasons come in episode 13, one of which is the season-ending stinger which isn't exactly shocking since it's fairly well-developed in the episodes leading up to it.

I just wrapped this up and it was a good season but the weakest of the 3. It's definitely expanded, so we have several major players outside of the close knit few.
