Dinesh D'Souza's "America"
My quickie on Dinesh D'Souza's "America"
It's really three mini docu-dramas mashed into one movie.
Part the first: Dinesh does a "thug notes" style critique of Howard Zinn's book A People's History of the United States. An interesting commentary if you have read Zinn's book.
Part the second: A mish-mash, disjointed collage of Dinesh's thoughts on Hillary Clinton, Saul Alinsky, Michael Moore, Abraham Lincoln, and a small cadre of "famous" people that nobody has ever heard of.
Part the third: The last five minutes of the film. Dinesh's hubristic love letter to himself. Dinesh does a Jimmy Baker-style apology for his recent campaign fraud conviction. Then he signs off Las Vegas style, with essentially "Thanks for coming, America! I'm here all week, and please, buy my book!"
Film critic verdict: really just a fluffed-up informercial for his book. Skip it.

Looks like one of those "Youtube documentaries" that people make. Featuring that Requiem for a Dream track. The really good ones investigate how our secret Kenyan president is the Antichrist, Bush did 9/11 and black people are genetically inferior.

The negroe is genetically inferior.... Duh. Are people still saying shit like that in earnest?
Seriously though... I didn't really know wtf the trailer for this was trying to sell me. Looked boring.

Re: Dinesh D'Souza's "America"
I expect this to be typical rubbish from Dinesh D'Souza, but I wonder if it has any outright laughable scenes in it. Like the one in his previous propaganda piece "2016: Obama's America" where he interviewed Barack Obama's half-brother George Obama in Africa and tried desperately to get him to say bad things about the president, but he never would. Despite that, Dinesh D'Souza then essentially pretended that George Obama *did* say those bad things as the movie continued.

I am a conservative, but have no interest in seeing stuff like this. D'Souza's movie is no different then a Michael Moore movie, as they are partisan hit-jobs on the current President, and everything is twisted to make him or her look bad. These movies are no different then watching a political show on FOX or MSNBC, as they playing to the extremes of each party. I have friends who are partisans on both the left and right, and they eat this shit up. So Sadly there is an audience for this crap.
