Surprised there wasn't a thread for this yet. Saw the trailer last night on 360 and it looks pretty good. It's first person, but looks like you don't have access to guns and whatnot. Gives you a really good Alien vibe since you can't really fight back and get to explore while trying to stay alive. Looks like next gen only announced for now (and confirmed there will be no Wii U version). I'm at work, so if someone could grab a trailer it would be much appreciated.

It looks interesting, but it's been so long since a good Alien game that they have a lot to prove.

At least they can't focus on multiplayer with this one, right?

Yeah, I read that they purposefully left out multiplayer as they thought it'd be a waste of resources and wanted to focus on the single-player campaign.

I read a couple previews about this in the past week and it sounds interesting. If the reviews are decent, I'll definitely pick it up.

As a survival horror fan, I have hope for this. Even the fact that it's "Alien" rather than "Aliens" is a positive sign as far as I'm concerned.

Agree on 'Alien' vs 'Aliens'. Just noticed that the link in the OP is just images. For those who haven't read about it, you play as Ripley's daughter. Searching for her mom, somehow she ends up stranded on a ship/station inhabited by a single Xenomorph. It sounds like it'll be a pretty intense game if the previews are accurate at all, focused on survival rather than killing.

Sounds interesting but they are going to have a hard time keeping it fresh if it's just one Alien hunting you that you can't kill for six hours.

I could see you fighting humans that want to weaponize the alien,

Still not 100% sold on this. It looks a lot like Enemy Zero from the Sega Saturn. But I will say I'm really curious.

My thought on this is it's a good idea but how long of a game can you really build on the premise?

Almost sounds like Outlast in the world of Alien. Your best bet is to hide and sneak around....no direct attacking.

Outlast was only 4 hours or so (and not a top tier, $60 game)

Yep, that was my thought as well.

Watching the five minute video, I guess there are human/synthetic characters you can interact with, so it's not totally like Outlast.
