I recently bought a Toshiba CZ32V51 TV and was wondering what effect it has changing settings in the service menu? I'm guessing the programming goes through some type of eprom, but it seems likely that it wasn't meant to be constantly changed. I would think under normal circumstances it would be accessed and changed maybe once or twice is a period of 3 years, rather than once per week which is the interval I use it.

Anyone know about how many times these things can be changed without crapping out?

Thanks

Never read anybody ever hitting the limit. I doubt you could exceed the EEPROM's typical erase life of 10,000 to 100,000 times.
