A correction: it's now the Dolby Theatre, the name change which became official on May 1, 2012.

I am definitely watching this broadcast because of how extremely wide open the contenders are each Oscar award (with the exception of Daniel-Day Lewis and possibly Jennifer Lawrence).

The opener is apparently 15 minutes long and the show itself is estimated to be one of the longest in history due to the musical tributes. With Seth hosting and him having a knack for musicals it could be fun but whose to say.

That said these are the best original song nominees you'll also probably be seeing:

Spoiler:

Norah Jones - Everybody Needs a Best Friend (Ted)

15 minutes? really? that seems long. much longer than a Billy Crystal number. i hope it is very entertaining. it could be make it or break it with an opening like that. i wish it was as svelt as the Independent Spirit Awrds that were on last night and SLP took the top prizes.

I asked the mods to merge the two Oscar threads, so we don't lose any votes/info.

Merging the threads will delete one of the polls, so I am closing this one and people should add their vote to auto's thread.
