In Chile, a group of travelers who are in an underground nightclub when a massive earthquake hits quickly learn that reaching the surface is just the beginning of their nightmare.

Hmmm... doesn't look half bad. I still don't think Roth is a good actor (yes, even in IB), but he's good enough to possibly make this work. The concept is interesting, and it looks like fans of his directed films will get a healthy helping of gore.

I like the natural disaster + horror movie idea. That's worth a rental at least.

Eli Roth needs to go away. He can't act.
This movie sounds dreadful....here's the review Why So Blu? referenced.

I think Roth can act. You might not just like the way he acts. I'm indifferent. He's not bad he's not great. He's fine.
Also new trailer...I think:

Looks neat. Usually not my thing. I'll probably catch it somewhere down the line. But the setting is unique enough that I might see it in the cinema.

I don't know who does the descriptions on these ratings but they can be misleading. The other day I was watching Melancholia, rated R for some graphic nudity, sexual content and language. Where the hell was the "some graphic nudity" in that film? It had nudity but there was nothing graphic about it.

I hate whoever coined the term 'Torture Porn'. Most of the things related to that description were (usually) just lumped in with the 10 billion sub-genres of Exploitation films.

Ropes of Silicon HATED this flick when Brad saw it last year. In fact, it was either the #1 or top three worst films of 2012 on his list.

Also, the rape material is sadly a decent portion of Aftershock's third act.

As for the age restriction, i don't know what the fuss is about? There is one scene of non-sexual nudity (we see breasts, but no genitalia) and one not too graphic sex scene (it is clear what's going on but we don't see much because it is shown from a distance). It is okay for mature teens.

Vegas will be getting it this weekend.
I'm only giving that a as the chances we get Only God Forgives are that much greater now.

Kind of a cool tagline. Apparently this is gory as hell, but that's about it, at least that's what the reviews I'm reading say.
I'm assuming you generally disagree with them?
I would think either someone is wearing clothes or not.
I think it was David Edelstein of slate.com. Don't quote me though.
