Quite possibly the most fun that I have had watching a movie in a theater. Screened at Fantastic Fest this year and is making the "midnight movie" rounds. I can't recommend this movie enough. It is wall to wall awesome!!

This really is an amazing film to see in a packed theater. There's a positive vibe that the crowd can't help but to absorb. Beware, it can bring on constant high fives and Kung fu practice. DRAGON SOUND!!

I still can't decide which line delivery is more amazing, "Oh, man...ninjas." or "I did not know [dramatic pause] you had a father."

Watching this at home alone is probably not as much fun as watching it with a crowd that is familiar with the movie. From this thread I thought it was a tongue-in-cheek parody/satire film like Black Dynamite, not a legitimately bad movie like The Room. It took me a while to get into the right mindset, but I ultimately did start to enjoy it. My favorite parts were the song about friendship and the black guy's monologue about his father. I would like to see it again in a theater environment.

Finally watched this on Netflix last night. I would love to see this with a packed theater. It's just such an 80's hodgepodge or awesomeness that watching it alone is nowhere near as fun.

Out of the hundred-plus movies (Of a certain kind) that I watched last month, MIAMI CONNECTION was the one that reigned supreme!!!

Since this thread is fairly recent, thought I'd ask if anyone has purchased a blu ray directly from Drafthouse Films and what they're experience was like. This movie is now OOP through retailers but it seams the website is still selling it. I might pick it up if the site isn't a hassle.

^ Didn't purchase from Drafthouse, but I did contact them about the OOP status of Miami Connection. I was told it's only temporary, as they are in the process of switching distributers (from Image Entertainment to Cinedigm). It should be back in print soon enough.

I have purchased several items from them with no problems.

Also I highly recommend FarCry 3: Blood Dragon as a good complementary item to this movie.
