Re: SAG 2010 Nominations - Winners to be announced January 30th

Why does Sofia Vergara always seem to get the Modern Family female nominations over Julie Bowen? First the Globes, now here (they were both up at the Emmys.) Nothing against Sofia -- she's great in the role -- but Julie Bowen's work on the show just seems more nuanced to me. She can be cunning one moment and a buffoon the next and it always feels legit.

Totally meaningless award show. This is just the actors union self congratulating each other.

The whole, "I'm ______, and I'm an actor" thing they do during the show makes me want to vomit.

I like Betty White but I'm tired of whole Betty White fever thing. Amy Poehler on Parks and Rec was more deserving of a nomination.

Mariska Harigtay needs to quit getting award nominations. But nepotism is always on her side.

Donald Glover deserves at least a nomination for Male Actor in a Comedy Series. Come to think of it, so does Nick Offerman. Screw Chris Colfer, his performance as Kurt isn't ever really all that funny.

Amy Poehler definitely should've been included as well. Parks And Recreation is criminally under-appreciated.

And I'm with you DRG, I find Julie Bowen's performance much more nuanced and comedic than Sofia Vergara's.

I agree with you on Colfer. The praise for him has been annoying since the Emmy nominations were announced back in July. He's not a comedic actor at all. In the early episodes of Glee he had some funny lines but he wasn't extremely funny. It bugged me how he got an Emmy nod for Supporting Actor in a Comedy based on dramatic scenes. Nick Offerman, Aziz Ansari, Chris Pratt, Donald Glover and Danny Pudi are all funnier than him.

Colfer reminds me of a TV actor version of Clay Aiken. He's overrated and if you say anything critical about his acting his fans throw a bitch fit right away.

Parks and Rec or Community should have the comedy ensemble nod instead of Hot in Cleveland.

I'd give it to Raising Hope.

I also love Raising Hope. It's another show that is much better than Hot in Cleveland. I prefer Cloris Leachman in Raising Hope over Betty White in Hot in Cleveland.
