I'm so pysched for this episode!!
I did read that the producers want this to be a positive year for growth. They were really looking for that change to happen early and throughout the season rather than have the change be a cap come the end. Apparently this episode is a huge changer for Clark.
Assuming Lois openly knows at some point this season I'd absolutely love for them to spend just and episode where it's the two of them off talking and traveling the world as she discovers his history and what he is capable of.

I heard part of the dynamic of this episode is Clark trying to tell Lois his secret and Lois trying to tell Clark that she already knows.
Either way, I can't wait!

It's nice to look back and remember him fondly when in reality that last season he was on he was nothing more than a puppet reciting the same lines week-in and week-out. "Lex is bad." "Lionel is bad." "the Luthors are bad." It probably made it easier on the writers every week just to recycle dialog though.

Interesting. Without revealing too much (mostly episode descriptions/interviews) I believe the next episode is very Clark and Lois centric. That is followed closely by a few episodes dealing with Lois and family - probably more issue related.

I always love the fun Smallville episodes - hell, except for the Chloe mystery, this one could have been an excellent series finale.
And I damn sure wouldn't have forgotten Lois if she went to my HS, even if only 5 days.

This was a great episode. Loved that they got adult Clark's look so right. And Lois' legs in that yellow dress.
The only downside is that I wish the episode were longer.

Hilarious how Lois elbowed out the pilot of the chopper to keep Clark's secret. How is she going to explain that.

The Elevator scene: Ok...now THAT...is the Clark/Kal/Superman I've been fuckin' waitin' for.
He even reminded me of Batman with his, "Roof Now GO".

Now that was a really great Smallville episode. The arc advanced and now mopey Clark is hopefully out of the picture.
That yellow dress that Lois wore to the reunion was amazing. I would 100% remember someone who looked like Lois at my High School, even if it was only 5 days.
Thank God Brainiac knocked some fucking sense into Clark. I liked how the episode was told from a "Christmas Carol" type perspective. The future scenes were awesome and I was glad to see Clark see his future self and see that he can actually trust Lois.
If you noticed the tombstone for Jonathan at the end, I noticed they got the date of death (Jan 26, 2006) accurate as to the actual air date for the episode "Reckoning" when Jonathan died back in season 5, which was episode 100.
The final scene with Lois and Clark was very touching. Solid work by Peterson and Souders writing this episode. I think this was probably one of the best episodes since they took over as showrunners.

Even though I loved Kristin Kreuk when she was on the show, I think Erica Durance has blown her away in every department as far as sex appeal, charm and romantic chemistry with Welling. That was one thing the previous showrunner hacks Alfred Gough and Miles Millar got right when they cast her for season 4.

IGN TV: So few shows last ten seasons and 200 episodes. What do you think is the secret to Smallville's success?
Tom Welling: Hard work, dedication and fans. I think those are the elements. That's why we're here tonight.
IGN: As an actor, I imagine it must be pretty amazing to play a character for this length of time and get to show him developing and evolving. Do you ever look back at Season 1 and see how much you've changed?
Welling: It's amusing for me to look back at some of the earlier episodes. I mean, I'm a completely different person, physically and mentally. The times when I catch an old episode, or maybe even put one on as reference for something we're doing now, I can't help but be a little surprised. "Look at that kid! He doesn't know what the hell he's doing!" And that's Clark and me. So I've been able to hopefully grow along with Clark. It's been a good journey for both of us!
IGN: In the season premiere, we saw Clark get closer than ever to his destiny – he nearly puts on the suit. What more do you think he needs to do to be ready?
Welling: Well I think what Clark's going to be dealing with is him being in his own way. I think it's an issue and a dilemma a lot of people are familiar with or at least can relate to, where a lot of times, we're in our own way and preventing ourselves from moving forward with our lives. Clark has to deal with that. He's got everything going for him. Why doesn't he just put it on? And I think that's what he's trying to figure out for himself.
IGN: Should we expect to see Lois keeping it to herself that she knows Clark's secret for awhile?
Welling: I think so. Clark doesn't know she knows, so it adds for good drama I think.
IGN: Obviously a lot of people would love to see Lex Luthor again before the end of the series…
Welling: I would! I definitely do!
IGN: Have you talked to Michael [Rosenbaum] about it?
Welling: I text him all the time. I'm directing an episode right now and he was like, "Hey, what are you doing?" I go, "Directing. You should be in this episode!" He's like, "Anything for you." I'm like, "Ah, go to the airport!"
We try! We love him. We can't wait to see him. Our fingers are crossed.
IGN: Can you talk about Clark facing off with Darkseid this season and where that may lead?
Welling: I don't know what the end game is. I know he'll have to face it at some point. It's a huge villain because it's not necessarily something you can beat up or grab or throw or fight. It's something that is deep in the psyche that affects people on a level where they can't just beat it up or be stronger. It's going to be a mental and physical challenge at the same time.
