Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

PAX is coming up, isn't it?
This is sad, but I'm actually interested in the Freezepop songs. I like them.

Rock Band mobile doesn't really appeal to me.

or the: No one will be playing RB2 DLC this week anyway time to empty the closet Pack 01?

Awesome. Paul and Storm are hilarious:

And big for Miss Murder. One of my faves in GHIII that isn't as fun in Smash Hits. Hopefully it's better in RB.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

I'm in for everything but MC Frontalot from that list. Audioslave really isn't my thing, but my buddy has been campaigning I get it to play with him since it was announced for RB:U.

Hopefully the other RB:U exclusives aren't far behind.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

One would hope because I'm really in for these other tracks:

Alice in Chains - "Would?"
Blink 182 - "What's My Age Again"
Tenacious D - "Rock Your Socks"

I also hope the PAX tracks and Freezepop come in at $1 each like before.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

AFI - Miss Murder
Freezepop - Get Ready 2 Rokk
Freezepop - Less Talk More Rokk
Freezepop - Science Genius Girl
Jackson 5 - ABC

That will be a good week if those come true.

I love the Freezepop songs. Miss Murder was indeed fun in GH3.
I want the My Chemical Romance songs from GH2 in Rock Band as well.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

I'd sooner saw my own face off than ever hear, let alone PLAY, another Freezepop song. Utter crap.

Still, if the Unplugged songs are coming out next week, there's a reasonable amount of variety and some good songs to enjoy. If I can tear my hand out of my pants, that is.

Or it could be that these songs are coming out on Tuesday. A full day before Beatles! That's plenty of time to play these tracks.

I'm taking off Tuesday and Wednesday next week, so I'll need something to distract me all day on Tuesday.

I hope that's the dlc for next week - I'd be in for Kryptonite, Gasoline and ABC.

No shit...how about the entire damned album? That's one I've been wishing for for 2 years, would be perfect for the game.

Welcome to two days ago, stu!

Thanks for ruining the "surprise" around the final Beatles song. At least it's not the right thread

I love the Freezepop songs on GH:1 and 2. I would never listen to that crap on my own, but they were fun as hell to play.

I love that AFI song (stupid GH/RB has turned me into a fan of this stupid band which sucks) so I might pick up Miss Murder as well.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

When I got my replacement PS3 and started up RB2 again, my wife entered the same band name we had used on the previous PS3. She hit enter, and then some message came up about their already being a band with this name online but she cleared through it without me being able to read it. Does this mean none of our scores or whatever are being sent? Can we even play online? Anybody know what this says/means?

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

yes you can play online. but it won't update your scores to rockband.com.

this happened to me, and I never put in the effort to figure out if I could fix it.

best bet is to use a new band name.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

Here's something weird. I bought a new 360 the other day with the price drop, and my old one was about to bite the dust. I dont have a transfer cable yet, so I am still using my old 20 gig hard drive with my new 360.

Last night I fire up rock band, it says it cant load any of my saved data from my old hard drive. So i go into quick play, and all my downloaded songs are there, but all the ones that came on the disc are missing. Anyone ever heard of this? How could the songs on the disc not show up?

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

If it couldn't load your save, then it doesn't have your progress and the songs you've unlocked. You should have a small set of RB2 songs in there by default.

Go into the Quickplay menu, sort by "Location" and go to the "Rock Band 2" group to see that.

You need to figure out why it can't load your save and, hopefully, you didn't overwrite it accidentally.

That's a pain in the ass. The J. Walter Weathermen will never change our name!

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

I've got a question and I hope I haven't missed the answer elsewhere; searching was a nightmare and I gave up and just came to this thread. Anyway, I've become interested in getting Rock Band for my wife for Christmas. We have several of the Guitar Hero games already, but our console is a Wii, so I know that we'd have to get the band kit because the instruments aren't compatible.

What I want to know is, let's say we buy RB1 and RB2 and the Track Pack discs. It's my understanding that we could transfer most of the songs to the console and play them in RB2. (Is that right?) If so, will the Wii hold everything, or is this beyond the Wii's current capabilities? (Please, no anti-Wii lectures about how real gamers own Xboxes.)

In a nutshell, then, can I get all the RB stuff onto the Wii?
