I know this has been talked about before (about as much as DTS vs. DD)but I can't find it. I did a serach and came up empty. I didn't have a choice before so I never paid attention. But I have been forced to buy a new DVD Player (crappy JVC 501 which will now become a CD Player) and it comes with both. So I was wondering which is a better connection. So if you could point me to the right link or give me your comments it will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure on the link, but I do not think it is big deal one vs the other.

Neither is better in quality, since its a digital signal. Toslink is usually more expensive the ends can break and you have to make sure the cable doesn't get pinched. Coax is cheap and usually a tougher cable. I use Coax on my DVD player and optical for my Laserdisc and both work great.
