Casper 1995 Vs. The Thing 1982

As a ghost, Casper is immune to physical attacks. Only magic attacks can hurt him, and The Thing is a non-magic user. This would seem to give Casper the upper hand, but as a fledgling ghost, his attacks are pretty weak. He has access to some minor telekinesis spells, but The Thing has a really high Armor Class and would probably be unaffected by these attacks. The only way for Casper to kill The Thing is by exploiting his elemental weakness to fire. Casper doesn't have any fire spells, but he could use his telekinesis to manipulate an existing flame, like say a fireplace. It would have to be a large flame because The Thing's rapid regeneration means that it almost has to be finished off with a single attack. That would be the only way I can see Casper defeating The Thing.
On the other hand, The Thing would also great difficultly defeating Casper. None of his regular attacks would have any effect, and his special attack Consume would be similarly useless since Casper is non-corporeal. The Thing's only hope of defeating Casper would be to consume a magic-using creature and use it's magical attacks to defeat Casper. Assuming a lack of magical creatures nearby, it's only other recourse would be to find and exhume Casper's corporeal remains and destroy them in a fire. Considering The Thing probably has no idea where the remains are located, and is weak against the very fire it would need to destroy them with, this isn't a feasible alternative.
Realistically, this match would likely end in a draw. I'll give a slight edge to Casper though because of the chance he could find a way to exploit The Thing's weakness to fire.

that's the problem with watching hot actresses when they were young. I remember having a crush on Ricci when The Addams Family came out was 10, and she's actually older than me. but I watch these older movies now, and I feel like a creep. same thing with Natalie Portman in The Professional.

Did anyone ever notice that Casper is the ghost of Richie Rich. All his wealth and secular influence couldn't save him from suffering a violent death and being forever chained to this realm...wandering lost (albeit freindlily) for all time.
Too depressing. The Thing wins.
