Best Buy Horror Story
So I ordered Alias The Complete series online at bestbuy and had it shipped to me. When I opened the box and took the set out I noticed it was wrapped with what appears to be cheap saran wrap. It wasn't even wrapped all the way around. I just figured the original wrap got ripped and they took it off. I open it up and the cardboard on the tops of the books was split. Every single dvd had fingerprints and scratches. The best part of this whole thing is season one was missing disc 3. It was most likely returned. Why would they think someone wouldn't notice this? Any one else have anything happen like this?

If you try to exchange it, make sure you have the receipt with you so that they don't think you're trying to exchange something you bought weeks/months ago.
I'm in that boat as I just found out that I have 2 disc 1's and 0 disc 3's of Season 3 of Six Feet Under that I bought 2 Christmases ago.

With a thread titled "horror story", I was expecting something along the lines of you being chased through the aisles of Best Buy by the night manager wielding a chainsaw screaming at you to join their rewards club.
What you have is nothing more than an inconvenience.

This doesn't appear to be a horror story to be, just another person starting a thread to bitch about best buy. wait til next week someone else will have their own story about best buy. maybe we should just make a thread Best Buy Horror Stories and sticky it.

Actually, unfortunately, the complete Alias collection went through one of the shoddiest quality checks of virtually any release I've seen. Check the main Alias collection thread, lots of folks had similar stories, regardless where they got it from (mine was from Amazon). Poor package design and possibly manual repacking of old disks.
About the missing disk, that didn't happen to me, but I think with pretty much every megaset released, someone posts that it happens to them. You've got people making eight bucks an hour packing 40 disks into a package, I can see how it can happen occasionally.
Still, of course, it sucks for the person to whom it happens. Sorry
