Who is this artist?

He's in his 60s, just got married to a young wife and had a child, plays the piano, and is not Barry Manilow. Thanks!

Sounds like Billy Joel, but he's only 58. And no daughter.

So it's probably not him.

Brian Setzer plays the guitar not the piano so that's not right.....he's not 60 either I don't think.

Nope and nope. Huge mainstream with an old lady following like Barry Manilow.

Who said it didn't make the news. He got married a few years ago, I was just giving background information to help in the identification. I noticed I put "just got married" in the first post - that was just fast typing. It's been 2-3 years.

I would have guessed John Tesh (he's 6' 6" !) but he has been married to Connie Sellecca since 1992 (one daughter though).

I was going to say Rod Stewart except he doesn't play the piano.

Also, he was married 9 months ago.

And he had the kid in 05, I assumed that's when he got married also That's the new trend, marry around the time the kid is born.

Good enough description for someone to get it!

I remember reading a review in Rolling Stone of one of his later recordings. They said Rod needs to be tied up and made to listen to "Every Picture Tells A Story" for a week. It's one of my favorite albums of all time.

I much prefer his Faces and early solo era. I don't care for the trend towards endless (bad) cover versions. I'm sure PBS is glad to add him to their pledge break line-up, though.
