Here's a remake no one saw coming: Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!

Yahoo Movies reports that the creators of the web series 'Ask a Ninja' are going to remake Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
I think this will be an interesting remake. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the original, I like the sequels better, especially Return of the Killer Tomatoes.

If that's the case, then we can look forward to multiple shots of giant tomatoes exploding from different angles.

But seriously, ... I mean seriously?

Re: Here's a remake no one saw coming: Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!

Thought I'd resurrect this old thread - in large part because this older one is un-repliable to ask a couple of questions.

Question 1: Has anyone heard anything about this mooted remake?
Question 2: Can anyone guess whether it's the remake, alleged lack of interest or something else that has seen Attack of the Killer Tomatoes not re-released (yet) - despite this being it's 35th Anniversary year?
Question/Statement 3: Amazon says that the last two sequels are being re-released, apparently as a double feature on one disc by Starz/Anchor Bay, at the start of October - and yet (Question 2)...
Question 4(ish): Why isn't the TV series available?

I believe Snyder is directing the remake with Nolan producing. Something like that.

Filming begun last summer but I haven't read anything about it since, got to wonder if it is all in the can and just being edited or if they Sleepaway Camp 4'ed it.

First I've heard of this- would like to see them approach the story from a serious angle. The original concept is ridiculous but it's obviously played for laughs- when I first saw it I'd been hoping they were serious about it and that I'd be seeing a really bad movie. If they go with a straight remake, they could get Justin Bieber to do some songs for it.

The original is so horrible that it is horrible. Not so bad it's good...it is just horrible.

I never saw these movies, but weirdly remember enjoying the cartoon as a kid.
