Is PE really all that cracked up to be? Everyone says buy the BR version for stunning visuals but I just don't care for nature documentaries. Is there something compelling about this doc that stands out?

There are many things in this series has its first, such as Snow Cat's hunting that never filmed before, amazing "secret" cave, or watched wild dogs' tactic from above. If you don't care for nature documentary, then don't bother watch it.

However, this thread does not belong in Movie Talk, it belongs in TV Talk.

Ever since I watched the Life on Earth series with David Attenborough, I've enjoyed these type of nature documentaries.

If you don't like nature documentaries, what chance do you think you'd want to sit through 10 hours worth of nature documentary?

"Planet Earth" is a masterpiece, but it's still a nature documentary. I doubt you'd like it. You can always rent the first disc out of the set and see for yourself.
