Great deal on "Titanic" (1997)

Sorry if this has been posted, but...

The Three-Disc Special Collector's Edition of 1997's Titanic starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslett is available at amazon.com for only...$8.99!!!

This DVD set retails alone for $29.99.

A great deal in my opinion!

Already own it, but that is a good deal. I think I paid $14.99 when it first came out.

I looked at my records and I paid $19.49. The way prices have dropped I would never pay that much for a movie anymore.

It was $6.99 at Best Buy back in February when I bought mine (but I haven't seen it that cheap again).

I keep waiting for a sale like that $6.99 again. At this point, I might as well wait for HD I guess.

Good deal though OP.

Great deal, although probably expected since retailers want to move that old inventory, especially with a new Titanic edition coming out.

I'm curious. What new edition are you referring to?

When I read "Great deal" in the title, I figured it involved someone paying us to take the movie.

On a serious side, that is a pretty good deal. Might pick it up for my sis as x-mas filler.

I believe since it's distributed by Paramount (IIRC), if it gets an HD release it'll be on HD-DVD. Although reading on IMDb, Fox also has DVD distrubution so perhaps it'll also be on BR?
