FYE rebates- extra $3 back

The last few FYE rebates have allowed you to get a $10 merchandise card, good online or in store, or a $7 check. I've gone for the merchandise card and it works just fine. Also, the rebate tracking is through www.fyerebates.com and has been much smoother and accurate than rebateshq.

I sent in a rebate for 300 and Monster Squad. For Monster Squad, it allowed me to use Click Choice to select the giftcard. But not for 300. I called the rebate center and said it probably expired or something.

Thanks for mentioning this. I knew you could pre-submit online, but I never did since I always had multiple rebates on the same form, and I couldn't figure out how to do this online. I have one rebate to submit now for 1 item, so I'll give this a shot!

How do you get it to give you the choice of the $30 gift card exactly?

Just to be certain, you might want to check what's required for submission. I was looking at a Death Proof rebate and found one that offered either $7 check or a $10 gift card. I clicked another rebate on the results page and it offered a $30 gift card but the offer was for Death Proof and The Condemned.

Point being that the rebate you found might be Knocked Up plus some other required purchase.

I didn't see any other threads regarding rebates from FYE.com

but the rebates states to send in the receipt. Would an email confirmation count or do they want the packing slip. Will a copy suffice as I have 2 different rebates to send in.

Also, I don't see any requirements regarding the UPC, which I know the B&M rebates want.

Thanks for any help.

i sent in a $10 rebate from fye.com for the brothers and sisters: season 1 set.

the printout .pdf they provided to send along for the rebate stated to print out the e-mail confirming the order as well as the packing slip. it said to make copies of the e-mail and packing slip for my records. no need for the upc. mine didn't even have the typical fye/suncoast white/yellow upc code on the box set when it arrived in the mail, so i assume that's why they don't ask for the upc for online orders but they DO ask for the packing slip.

So their rebates have been better? I kind of lost interest in FYE after they declined my first try for I think the batman series rebates a while back. I think I had to either call or resubmit.

If they're a lot better now, can y'all let me know? I'll start considering doing some from them again.

I've gotten all the ones I've submitted from the B&M over the last year or so, including $200 from buying the older gen iPods.

I've never done one from FYE.com until now. I'll let you know. I guess on the other thread, they talk about a programming error in terms of the amount on the "click rewards" rebates, some are up to $30.

As an aside, when I called in to ask about what to send in (don't want to get flamed for calling in)

the guy was very rude and unhelpful. Turns out, he was acting out how they shouldn't act for training (this call may be monitored, etc.) Funny thing is that I wasn't upset at how he initially acted, since that seems more the norm.

Thanks for posting this. It is funny about the discrepancy though. The print and mail form does require the confirmation e-mail AND packing slip while online just says to include the "store receipt", whatever that means. I would tend to think this would mean just the confirmation e-mail, but to be safe, I will probably go ahead and include the packing slip as well.

I assume these "click rewards" can be stacked and used with a coupon if one is available?

you can find current in store rebates, and the most effective way to submit them here.

When given the option, unless you need cash I would always upgrade to the GC. Great deal IMO.

I didn't get the option to upgrade to a GC with my Heroes rebate. $10 check was the only option...

I think that the upgrade is only on $7 rebates to $10 GCs. If the rebate is already $10 cash back, then they aren't going to offer you the same in a GC.

So are these Virtual Debit Cards, just like gift cards to use on their website, because I'm trying to submit a $3 rebate for a CD and its giving me several virtual card choices, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30. And since the saying is if it seems too good to be true, then it probably is...I just don't want to choose a $30 gift card to find out its $30 off a $300 purchase or something like that. Any help is appreciated...

when i pre-submitted my rebate, the virtual card choice i selected was for $30, way too good to be true. db said that it was a mistake on FYE's part and to take advantage of it if it was offered. so i did. but now when i track my rebate, it says $7 check and gives me the option of jumping up to a $10 virtual card. so i guess even if you choose one of the higher gift cards, the system'll just change it to its "correct" value? that kinda pisses me off. i realize it was a mistake, but if they offered that, and the original print-out i have says $30 value, they should honor that or at LEAST send an e-mail saying it was a mistake and letting me know the value was changed.

Sorry to bump a semi old thread, but nearly all of the $12.99 cd's with $3 rebates have an option for a $30 virtual card. Anyone had any luck with these? I'm compiling a list, and depending on what I hear back, i'm gonna jump on these faster than an otaku on pocky.

Reminded me to go and check on mine. Submitted about 3 weeks ago and they already have my status listed as invalid for not having included the UPC on my Smallville HD, which clearly indicated I only needed to send in the packing slip. Nice of them to NOT notify me they rejected it too. Sent of an e-mail reminding them to look at their own rebate requirements.

Starting to wonder if these rebates are going to be worth the hassle.

Thanks

Thanks for the heads-up. I just went through the pre-submit list and found that the upcoming Blu-Ray of Cars also gives the option for a $30 virtual card. If this goes through, FYE will be paying me to take this disc off of their hands.

They will say that because you are a valued customer, they will process your rebate. For future reference, I always include a little note to point out the fact that this particular rebate does not call for the UPC. Since I started including this note, I have yet to have a rebate declared invalid for a missing UPC.

Quick question about the gift cards:

I mailed in a couple rebate forms for the $7 checks. I just checked the staus online and both were recieved and approved. It's still giving me the option of upgrading to the $10 gift cards.

My question is this: Can they e-mail you a code for the $10 value, or do you have to wait for an actual card to arrive by mail? I'd like to take advantage of this offer to put toward Spider-Man 3 (which also has a $7 rebate offer), but I'd have to order it by November 12th. I doubt I'd receive it by mail in time.
