Roger Ebert's Top Ten of 2006 list?
So I'm perusing wikipedia and find this list

Can anybody corroborate this?, because me-thinks it's a fabrication.

I think that one is false. Ebert never wanted The Departed to wn Best Picture, he was opting for Babel so methinks that may have made his number 1. I think Inarritu would have been his preference for Director, too, but he wanted Scorsese to win.

He wanted Babel to win (on his Should Win... Will Win...) and noted in his bit on Best Director that Scorscese would win for his body of work, not the Departed and chose not to say who he'd prefer to win.

Ebert gave 4 stars to "Marie Antoinette"? How is that possible? Half of that movie was just shots of plates of food and shoes. I guess some people find that artistic. I'm just not one of them. =(

It seems that whoever did that list, he doesn't understand Ebert that much. If the real Ebert did Best of 2006 list, I think he would included The Queen on that list.
